Ever been to a traveling cooking school/show?

I am thinking of taking my mom to a cooking show. One of the Taste of Home cooking schools. Have you ever been to one? Just wondering what to expect.

It's been quite a few years...but my mom took my sister and I to one that was held at one of our local high schools. I'm thinking it was something like the Betty Crocker cooking school or show.... or maybe it was put on by some product...sorry I can't remember.

We really enjoyed it and took lots of notes/tips. They had some great displays and some freebies and also some taster-tables of what they had made. We had a great time.

I don't I have ever heard of this type of "show", I'll bet my mother would love something like this.

I have been to small shows before that were located at bigger conventions. These shows were either promoting a cooking product (food/utensil/appliance) or they were promoting a specific restaurant or chef. The best part is when you get to "sample" the food!!!
