I am not talking about a school or local venue concert LOL.
We're going to our first real concert next month... Los Lonely Boys in California. Second row, dead center.

I've seen Reba (from the nose bleed seats :( My Uncle made me sit with him) and the Judds (I guess this was a real concert... it stunk b/c there were a lot of drunk military men and they were trying to get on stage... )

My husband and 14yo son have never been to one. They are not big fans (yet!) of LLB. I told them both they do not HAVE to do... but both are going. I dunno about those 2 sometimes.

What concerts have you been to and what did you like or dislike about them?

Yup, lots of them. Some of the better ones I've been to....

The Beatles at Shea Stadium.

Simon and Garfunkle, Boston, MA

Ray Charles. South Shore Music Circus, Massachusetts.

Paul Revere and the Raiders back in 2003. EPCOT.

Brenda Lee. City Hall Plaza, Boston, MA

The Everly Brothers, South Shore Music Circus, Massachusetts.

Have fun at the concert! :Pinkbounc

So far this year:
Reba McIntyre/Brad Paisley/Terri Clark
Velvet Revolver & Hoobastank
Def Leppard and Bryan Adams
Motley Crue
Tim McGaw (tonight)
Rob Thomas (next month)

Last few years:
Kiss & Poison
Poison/Vince Neil/Skid Row
Elton John
Bon Jovi

Oh yeah I sure have! Going to another one tonight too. I love going to concerts especially those who put on a great live show.

I have been to at least 56 concerts that I can think of off the top of my head. But 26 of those are for the same band. :blushing: Hey, I have to support my guys!

I've been to well over 1500 concerts by national acts. You name it, I've probably seen it.

OK, so I'll admit it, I worked in the music industry for a long time, so I was usually being paid to be there LOL!

Now I write and photograph for an arts and entertainment publication, so yup, back to being paid for my concert time. :)

My favorite place to see a concert is House of Blues in Orlando. When you have a photopass, you are generally allowed the first two, sometimes three songs to "shoot" up in the photo pit, then cameras have to get put away. At that venue the security guys allow me to remain off to the side in the photo pit and watch the show--bascially a front row seat with no one spilling beer down my back or crushing me against the barricade. :cool2: :cool2:

I'm almost 31 years old and I have never been to a concert.

I have wanted to go to some, I have even tried to get tickets but when I go I want good seats and they are almost always sold out by the time I hear about the concert.

I've been to some..

Best thing about the concerts? The atmosphere...not to mention good seats...and watching DD sing along with some of her favorites :goodvibes The worst was the drunk spilling beer down my friend's back at the last Chesney concert we attended. Have a great time!

Bruce Springsteen - over and over again...
Rolling Stones - several times in the past and a couple coming up...
Kenny Chesney - a bunch
Motley Crue - once
Keith Urban - once and would again!

and a bunch of others....I'm a concert going fool! :rockband:

Our last concert was Live8 in London

Been to several Counting Crows concerts. Liked them because I love the band, but I prefer smaller venues. Generally speaking, I like what some might call "roots" type music, and generally speaking the people at these types of concerts (CC, Phish etc.) are not people I want to be in close proximity to for 4 hours... But I've also been to some other shows as well.

In big venues (yeah my tastes are all over the place):
I've seen Phish a few times, Blues Traveler, Rush, Dream Theater, Bjork, The Pet SHop Boys, Depeche Mode, Poe, Gladys Knight, Michael Crawford, The Residents & PJ Harvey and probably a few others.

In small venues & clubs:
Lavay Smith, Lucky Boys Confusion, Gary Numan, My Life with Thrill Kill, Alex Chilton, David Byrne, Tom Tom Club, and a handful of others I can't recall.

I'm not really a concert person. I think the only shows I'd go to now would probably be CC, or jazz shows like Lavay Smith. I've always wanted to see Queensryche and Pink Floyd so I'd go to that as well. Maybe Jimmy Buffett.

See, I'm all over the place. :)

I sure hope so -- that's what my tix say! :)

im jealous!! have a great time--if you get any pictures,,pleaseee let me see!!
i just saw him a couple weeks ago, but we werent allowed to have cameras!

Yeah, but not too many. I lived in NoDakota most of my life (not a lot of acts go there), then I had kids and have moved around a lot. I don't get to meet any trustworthy babysitters that way. :guilty: On top of that (as the OP knows) no one comes to Alaska. ;) Now I live in Phoenix and I've only been to Josh Groban since I've lived here. I am beginning to get depressed about the whole thing, now that you mention it...
Oh, and I've been to Nsync 3 times. I flew down from Alaska to various states to see them. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

The absolute best was Aerosmith:worship:-on the floor, 12 rows from front, right beside the "runway" they perform on-everyone else in my group got to slap hands with everyone in the band--except me, I got to rub Steve Tyler's leg like an oversexed chihuahua because I'm too short to reach his hand!! :teeth: :cool1: :faint:
I've been to "Paul McCartney"-it was outside, beautiful weather, nosebleed section in the stadium-but fantastic concert, as close to hear the "Beatles" as you will ever get.
"U2"-same seating as McCartney concert but only much better--after many drinks :drinking1  you feel like you're on stage with Bono! :teeth:
"Rolling Stones"-on the floor at the stadium about 25 rows from the stage, great concert.
Anyone remember the "Nelsons"(Ricky Nelson's twin sons) from the mid-80's, saw them at the state fair-anyways the concert was rush seats and we ended up on the floor (there were no chairs on the floor section--about four rows from stage. As the concert started, people from the back started pushing to get to the front-squashing peole into the security gates, people were getting dragged over the gates by security because they were getting crushed! They had to stop the concert several times and threatened to stop the show because someone was going to get killed. If you tried to get out of the crowd no one would let you through because they thought you were just trying to get closer to the stage, it was scary! I ended up with huge bruises right on the tops of my feet and my shirt ripped open twice---never again will I go to a concert where it is "rush seating".
Saw "Alabama", also at the state fair We also had tickets for "Reba" but we gave them away because we aren't country music fans and at the time had no idea who she was--kind of wish we would have gone now.
Oh yeah, we also saw "Sharon, Lois and Bram" :teeth: --does that count? :rotfl:

I went to a bunch of concerts in the mid 70s to early 80s. I lived about an hour from Miami and quite a few big names of that time played there.

The most recent concert I went to was this past August. DH, DSs 17 and 15 and I saw Jimmy Buffett in Philadelphia. We had floor tickets and had a blast.

Paul McCartney
Elton john and Billy joel
New Kids on the Block
The Cranberries
