I was born in Cali, so I've actually been through quite a few. Now, I had just turned 5 when we moved, but I still remember being in my room taking a nap and getting woken up by the whole house shaking. I'd run out in a panic and my mom would tell me to calm down and sit in the hallway until it was over. They are very scary, but now that I live in tornado alley and have to deal with tornado warnings every spring....I'd rather move back to California and it's earthquakes.
We actually had one in Florida about two years ago. It was so weird. My parents were out of town and I was asleep on the couch and everything shook like crazy for about 5 seconds and I was just like uhhhhh and went back to sleep. When I woke up the entire town was like freaking out, ahaha.
I live in East TN and i felt the one that was in Illinois in May. It was wasnt that bad, but it was weird since I was so far away from the actual earthquake
We had one during school when I was in 1st grade then I'm aware we have had plenty of others but they have been at night and I go into sleep at night where I couldnt wake up if my house was on fire... So I havent felt them... But I know there was one a few months ago well I was sleep I remember waking up a few things fallen and my stuff animals on my bed that are normally on display above my bed...
