BAM! You get sucked right into a soap opera. I swear my life could be a sitcom..(hey wasn't that a show one time??)

DD and I just watched Just Like Heaven. We loved it, and I thought I'd call my Dsis, and tell her how good it was. (we're always looking for a good movie to watch)

That's when it happened. My fatal mistake...I could tell she sounded funny, and I knew she was working really hard moving today, so I ask...are you ok, you sound tired. Sounds innocent enough right??? WRONG!!

She then says..No she not tired, she's upset, and then she starts to cry. She goes on to say that she walked in on her boyfriend looking at porn on the internet. I say are you sure??? And she says..well, all I saw was a girl in a bikini, and then he shut the computer off, and he acted all weird and upset.

She said when she asked him about it, that he said he was embarrassed, and didn't want to talk about it.

Since then he had been trying to be very loving towards her, and asking her what he can do to make things ok, and she's just been cold as ice.

At this point my phone beeps...it's her boyfriend. He's calling to get our Daddy's phone number so that he can call and ask permission to MARRY HER!

He had been on the internet ordering this antique engagement ring that she liked, and then he was looking at HONEYMOON stuff! (hence the girl in the bikini!)

He begged me not to say anything, cause he wants it to be a surprise!

SO..here I sit, feeling bad for him because I know she's being mean to him for no reason, and feeling bad for her because oh boy is she gonna be sorry when she finds out the truth!

DRAMA!!!

Oh, no! I hope everything gets sorted out okay. Make sure you tell him that when she throws the ring at his head, not to take it personally.

No I wouldn't think so, but I think she just saw that one picture, and went with it!

She even said that it wasn't that he was "looking at porn" that bothered her, it was that he was being so secretive about it, AND the fact that in the past he has said that he doesn't like it!

I admit, I see where all of those things added together would have made her upset, but he's trying so hard to make it up to her even though he didn't DO anything!

Well, at least it turned out to be something good she's about to find out, instead of something bad. Hopefully this will all get straightened out sooner rather than later, and good luck keeping the secret while you try to console your sister in the meantime!

Could you suggest to the boyfriend to share with her that he wanted to suprise her with a speical trip to a beach or something. It would direct the attention away, and wouldn't be giving away the real secret. And then she would stop being mad at him.

I'm just nervous she's going to be a real pill over the next few weeks, and he'd get nervous she would say no...

I'll suggest that to him. I don't think she would drag it out any more than a few days, but even that's too much considering it's unjustified!
