Event questions

Just wondering who and how Disney hosts these events.
Does the same department or area handle them all? Or does each park have their own event planners?

It would be so Eisner-esque to charge Disney fees
for an event he is paying someone else probably
below minimum wage to run!

I don't know how these things work... but I am
leary of ever attending one. They seem to be
very hit and miss as to the enjoyment of EVERYONE!
