event manager

Hey!
I was just wondering how Disney chooses the event manager for each couple! Is it done randomly? We are now waiting for ours to be assigned, woohoo!

It's not random from Disney's end. The EMs in the custom side of the house have weddings one week per month. The other three they serve as assistancts and are better able to schedule planning sessions, conferences, etc. So, there will only be xyz number of EMs that will be slated to do weddings during the week your's is planned for. Disney will assign you one from that group.

When are you assigned and EM? is it once you have returned the contract?
Im so impatient lol, want to start planning things properly now lol.

They just gave us a call to tell that they had recieved our contract. She then said that they were processing the Save the Date letters and we would be assigned an EM within the next two weeks. So its a pretty fast turn over! I know what you mean, Im impatient as well!
