evenings at all star movies

Last time we went to WDW in '97 we stayed at Dixie Landings. A fair few evenings we spent relaxing in the bar listening to a guy called "Bob" entertaining the crowd. Actually, he was pretty much driving us insane by the end of the holiday! ["Somebody scream!!" - I can still hear him how...]. Anyway, it was good to have somewhere to go nearby.

Will there be anywhere similar to go in ASMo when we're there in August? I've read that there are 2 bars. What are they like, and is there any entertainment? Also, where else is reasonably easy to get to nearby for a relaxing drink [i.e. without having to drive].

There is an outside pool barat each of the three Allstars..but it's just stools to sit on at the outside bar from what I've noticed. I would suggest you go over to Animal Kingdom Lodge if you are looking for more, and it's pretty close (assuming you have a car). All Stars doesn't really have a "gathering" place or entertainment.

The only thing at the All Star Pool Bars is a TV ( I think) if its just
the two of you,no kids you may have to take a bus or cab to PI.
