Has anyone done this trip from DLP?

My oldest son would love to see the Eiffel Tower but I don't want to miss any time in the parks so I though going at night would be ideal.

Are you able to get off at places or do you have to stay on the coach?

Is it worth the money or could you do it cheaper by yourself?

I was just about to post a thread with the same Question!!!! Lol!

I'm curious to know if you get off the coach at all, or what happens in general.

I've just spoken to DF on the phone, and he seems really interested.

That does seem interesting, I really want to go see Paris aswell but without losing time in the park.

Bumping this to see if anyone knows anything??

I will keep bumping it until I find out.... Or until someone is sick enough of my nagging to do it!!

Im sure you should be allowed off the coach, i mean how can you look at the great sites in the dark through a window.

Not sure DD would be amused if i dragged her on a tour of Paris at night lol.

The tour is about 3 or 4 hours long depending on the time of year.I don't think that would leave a lot of time to get off at all the sites but surely it would let you off at the Eiffel tower.

Emma I don't think my youngest son will enjoy it but the oldest wants too go so the wee one will just have to tag along whether he likes it or not after all ,we all go on the teacups with him :rotfl:

Bob I'll keep bumping too .......we will find out

I know it's not quite as organised as a coach trip but for a lot less money just hop on the train.... and then you have as little or as much time as you want plus you needn't lose hours!

For Eiffel Tower only get the RER from Marne Le Vallee to Chatelet Des Halles (13 stops along approx 40 mins max!) here you get the Blue (Line B) for 1 stop to St. Michel N.Dame and here get on the Yellow (Line C) 4 stops to Champ de Mars/Tour de Eiffel (Eiffel tower) station, it is so easy, so much cheaper and no time restrictions!!

I am doing this one evening in August (my niece wants to see the Eiffel Tower) so we are hopping on at Marne Le Vallee, getting the RER straight to Charles de Gaulle Etoile (which is right at the Arc de Triumph) then from there we are going to walk halfway down the Champs Elysees and jump on a metro halfway along and go two stops to Musee de Louvre, from here we will walk to Angelinas for Hot choc, take in the Louvre and Place de Concorde, then back on to go to St Michel Notre Dame, get off to see Notre Dame, then get back on go to Champ de Mars/Tour de Eiffel to see the Eiffel Tower and when thats done get the Bir Hakim metro (this station is other side of the Eiffel Tower to the champ de mars station) and the Bir Hakim to CDG Etoile metro is the one that goes over the river seine which is lovely, then once at CDG Etoile we have completed our round trip and it's back onto Marne le Vallee all the way!

Always worth a thought

:thumbsup2

I am going to print that up Karen as I fancy seeing the Eiffel Tower all lit up. Thanks. :goodvibes

We found the best place to see the tower display is from the top of the Trocadero/Musee steps (other side of the river). There's always music and a great crowd. Its just a short walk from there over the bridge to the tower.

Thanks Karen that is some brilliant info. :worship:

I will definately be looking into that.I would imagine it work out a lot cheaper.

Off to check out the RER and Metro maps ...more planning ohhh goody

Another nice quiet spot to see the glitter and sparkle of the Eiffel Tower is from the champs de mars gardens so walk under the Eiffel Tower and through the gardens (leg it past the many souvenir sellers) and keep going until you find you are appropriately far enough way and like what you see.

Oh for going home there are trains from the Bir Hakim metro stop to the CDG etoile station every few minutes there is def one about 10.30 it is only 6-7 minutes journey time to CDG Etoile and the RER trains back to Dis from here are every half an hour so there is one about 10.50pm then another one about 11.20pm so they run late the last one is about 11.45pm.

I apologise profusely the spellings of all these stations is more than likely totally wrong!

this site is really easy to use if you don't know the name of the stop you can type in the place you want to go-good way also of finding out how long it'll take to go from one stop to the next.
