We've gone the past few years at the end of September and here's how we work our days:
- Get up and do early entry (at least 1-2 days) at the Studios side. This means being there before 7 a.m., light breakfast on the go as we head to the parks. If we aren't trying to make early entry, we are still trying to get there by park opening at 8 a.m. (Studios side).
- Catch an early lunch in the parks, usually around 10:30-11:00 a.m.
- Stay at the parks until around 12-1 p.m., head back to the hotel for a 1-2 hour break. Maybe bring a light snack as we head back to the parks.
- Usually head to IOA when we go back to the parks. If we do go to the Studios side after our break, we switch parks via Hogwarts Express WAY before park close or just walk from park to park. We made the mistake once of trying to catch the train at park close. NOT a pretty sight!
- Close out IOA at 7 p.m. or close to it.
- Do a nice dinner at City Walk or at our hotel, usually finishing up around 8-8:30 p.m.
- Get back to the hotel and chill. Sometimes we do head out to the pool, but most evenings by this point, our energy is pretty low. Remember if you are doing early entry, you are likely getting up around 6 a.m. so by 9-10 p.m., we're usually done.
That being said, we have done the miniature golf and it was a lot of fun.
Cabana Bay (our hotel of choice) also has a fire pit and you can buy supplies to make s'mores. I'm not sure if the other hotels have this as well. CB also has a bowling alley and an evening movie (either by the pool or inside if the weather isn't as nice). S'mores and the bowling alley are both always on my "to do" list and they just never seem to happen.
