Evening Magic Hour ?

On the days of the evening MH how crowded is the park in the morning? I'm assuming that come afternoon-evening it would tend to get crowded? We're not early risers so the morning mh are out but I don't want to be up until 1:00 am every night. It just so happens the day I have planned for MGM is an evening MH. I'm thinking of changing my dinner ADR to a lunchtime and just go in the morning and head out later in the afternoon. Thanks!

I always go to AM EMH (virtually every day of the trip that we did not do a PM EMH late the night before)... never ONCE regretted an AM EMH... they are amazingly empty and easy to ride the open attractions.
If that park THEN starts to fill 2 to 3 hours later... WHO CARE'S? Were happy with "doing" that park for the day and we can HOP elsewhere or do lunch and take a rest until later.

PM EMH's are a mixed bag. I've been when they were PACKED... but on other nights, they were just like the AM's... "free rides" on all the open attractions.

And considering its FREE to go... if its busy, just people-watch or hit the exit (where ELSE are ya gonna go at 10pm, anyway?)
But if its not busy... you're ALL SET for EXTRA FUN!

I find that for evening emh, the crowds don't start arriving until a bit later. Very few people can get a park at opening and then stay there until midnight give or take an hour or two. Here is my rule:
Never go to a park for morning EMH unless I plan to leave it before noon.
Evening EMH is fine, but I don't expect to ride much until much later when the younger kids' families start to leave. Since you are planning on making MGM your day park and then leaving after lunch, you should be fine. The crowds will be much less the day after EMH (am or pm EMH) but sometimes we need to go when we need to go. A lot of people seem to arrive for MGM's emh about an hour or two before Fantasmic starts. We did MGM on an evening emh in May and I was surprised that when we arrived at 5:00 p.m. we were able to ride TOT and RNRC with less than 15 minute waits. But I noticed that Fantasmic filled up very quickly that night and I was glad we left shortly after it was over.
