Evening Extra Magic Hours - Question about Entry after EMH has started?

I was wondering if I will be able to enter the park after the official closing and still participate in the Extra Magic Hours or do I need to be in the park before closing to participate in the Extra Magic Hours?

I will be watching Wishes in the MK on a Thursday night that ends around 8:30 PM then wanted to go over to Epcot for EMH, but Epcot closes at 9 PM which may be cutting it close to get from the MK to Epcot before official closing. I will staying at the Swan so I will be able to participate...

Understanding if you have Resort ID and a Park Hopper Ticket that you can.

When we visited in early August we went to MK around 11:30 p.m. after the EMH began and we entered the park w/o any problems. We just showed our key to the world (resort id and park hopper pass) and were given our wristbands, no wait at all.

You can enter any park for the evening EMH after the "official" closing time. Just have your resort ID and (of course) your theme park ticket with you. The reason the wristband distribution starts two hours before EMH is to avoid long lines once it begins. As as side note....there are (I believe) three distribution points around all the parks for wristbands. The one closest to the park entrance will always be the busiest.

When we were last there, the one in Tomorrowland was closing about 1/2 hour after the park closed. I think if you are there much after closing it would be best just to go to the one on Main Street.

Last Sunday my sister and husband were taking her kids and mine to MGM. The hours started at 8:30 and they didn't get there until after 9 and they just had to show their key and their ticket. We were told that after the hours started the only place to get wrist bands were the place at the main entrance.

Once the park has closed and the evening EMH has started I imagine the only place to get a wristband would be at the distribution point near the entrance. At the 2 hour point before evening EMH starts they have something like three distributions points at all the parks. In June the one at Epcot nearest the main entrance had really long lines and it was just at the 2 hour mark.
