We were thrilled when this was announced as we NEVER made it to the parks in the morning, but just love being there in the evening! For those of you who have experienced this since it started how is it going? What are typical wait times? Does it work better at some parks than others? Are the restaurants still open? Can you get Fastpasses, or are they not needed?!
Thanks in advance!

When we went back in Feb of this year, it was PACKED. I guess I should have expected it, but since we never seem to make the early morning either, I was really excited. I guess since the evening hours just let people hang out after hours, it never thinned out like the extra evening hours you paid for at Magic Kingdom before. In my opinion, this sounds like a good idea for A LOT of people and a lot were using it. I can't imagine how crowded it must be now and last month during spring breaks. Good luck. I don't think I will try this again.

That's why I liked the mornings, because most people don't like to get up that early on vacation...pity my DH and DS4, I'm like a drill instructor. I can well imagine that the evenings are busy, it's an extra 3 hours! Bit more of an insentive than one hour in the morning. My DS4 is up at 6.30am, so mornings are probably easier than evenings (he was completely worn out last time, with late night fireworks and MNSSHP, we disn't make any EMH's!), shame they have cut back on them though (the morning ones)

I think it just depends on how the crowds are when you are there. I read lots of complaints about how packed it was, so I was pretty worried.

But this past Weds it wasn't crowded at all. But the crowds had been light all week.

Expect a lot of people the first hour, but then it may die down after that.

Still going to try it it on our late May trip. :goodvibes :earsboy: :wizard:

Last year we did EMH in May. It was crowded but we were able to get on alot of the rides and see the shows. It was alot of fun being in the parks at night. We'll see how this year compares to last. :wave2:

Didn't do early mornings but the evenings were really good. Especially in Tomorrowland. Tip on our second night at MK we found the rides cleared out during the parades in Fantasyland. Road the tea cups three times in a row and walked right into Philharmagic.
