Evening Entertainment on Friday after thanksgiving?

Hi everyone, I'm looking for suggestions on something we can do the afternoon/evening that we arrive. It will be 11/25, the Friday after thanksgiving.

we are driving and will arrive between 12-1. I was planning on making a lunch ADR and then doing something non-park related.

We are a family of 4, and our kids are small - 2 & (almost) 4. So nothing too crazy.

Are there fun things for us to do/see at the Boardwalk?

What about going resort hopping to checkout Christmas decorations? Which resorts are worth checking out?

Disney Springs?

Any tips or advice is welcomed :0 )

I had a similar question. Our plan right now is to do grocery shopping and then have an early dinner at one of the mono-rail resorts. Then do some resort hopping to look at the hotel decorations. Then watch Wishes from the Poly at night.

The Boardwalk entertainment typically doesn't start until 7 pm, so, if that is too late for your family, it's probably not worth the trip there. If it isn't too late, it is a lot of fun! They have carnival games (bring cash if you want to play), magicians and acrobats. It's quite lively.

If that's too late, I would suggest a trip on the monorail to see the Christmas decorations. The decorations at the GF are particularly beautiful. You could do a lunch ADR at CR, Poly or GF and then ride the monorail around.

Another option would be Ft. Wilderness. You could eat at Trail's End, do a pony ride at the stables and play on the playground.

I'm not a big fan of Disney Springs on holiday weekends. It can get really crowded.

Yes, 7pm is kinda on the late side for us. If anything we'll be out till 8pm at the very latest; by then my kiddos' internal clock is telling them it's bed time.
I'm glad you told me DS gets very crowded, I'll scratch that.

So I've narrowed it between Ft. Wilderness with an ADR at Trail's End or the monorail hotels with ADR at Kona Café....
