Hi,

Does the evening EMH at Epcot affect Illuminations at all? We're going to be trying for a PS at R&C on an evening EMH night, and were wondering if the timing is different?

Thanks much,

KC :sunny:

We were there for Epcot EMH last Thursday and it did not affect IllumiNations. It went on as scheduled (9pm) and once that was over, non-resort guests came flooding out while the rest wandered around to go to a ride.

How did you like the evening EMH at Epcot? I'm hearing such bad reports about EMH - what is your experience?

Thanks,

KC :sunny:

We actually had really good experiences with EMH. The only park we didn't enjoy EMH at was MGM....lines for everything there were long. Epcot EMH was nice...only Soarin had a long line at 45 minutes. We got in line for Soarin at 10:30pm...people who were getting in line at like 11pm were experiencing shorter waiting times as crowds died out. Test Track was closed due to a storm, so I can't report on wait times for that. Mission Space was an immediate walk on, as were all other open attractions. MK EMH was fine. Space Mountain was the only ride with a long wait...at 30 minutes. BTMR was the only ride we waited about 5 minutes for. Everything else we got immediately on. There were lots of wanderers, but most of them remained just that...wanderers. Also, the later you stayed, the less people there were. I think we waited longer for a bus than we did for any rides.

I'll second what mking624 said. evening EMH at MGM was a nightmare. RNR was a 50 min wait. MK & Epcot were pretty good to get around and we didn't wait more than 10-15 minutes for a ride. Soarin was the only exception - it was packed no matter what.

Even though our wait for Soarin was 45 minutes, it actually wasn't packed when we were there. The line wasn't as long as it could have been (they sectioned half of it off), and people who got in line some time after us only waited 15-20 minutes. The sign reported a 90 minute wait when we got in line...but it was no where near that.

mking we saw the 60 wait for Soarin and left! We ended up using FP one afternoon and then getting to Epcot for the rope drop a different day. We were 6th & 7th on the first Soarin' ride of the day!

Wow this is the second good report I have read on EMH I was beginning to get nervous...
I will be trying them out in 2 weeks!

We are staying for Illuminations on Monday night, so we can skip it on Thursday night EMH. If we go to Soarin' while everyone watches the show, do you think that would work well? I would think we would beat a lot of the crowd.
