I don't think that this is the same as the codes some have received, because you actually have to be a Disney Rewards Visa Card holder to take advantage of this one! Maybe they are the same?

If card members register by 4/24/11 and pay with their Disney Rewards Visa, they get $35 off of the WDW Marathon, $35 off the Half Marathon or the combined discount ($70) for the Goofy!

All cardholders should have an e-mail in their inbox with this discount. There is a registration link directly set for active.com. Not sure if the link they give you in the e-mail already identifies you as a Disney Rewards Visa card holder, but I would imagine that the card digits are identified when you enter your payment. I will register when I get home. :)

A fellow Wisher just posted on facebook to read the fine print for this discount!

Wendy says, Of course the fine print says: "Savings is based upon the combination of the early registration discount on the race entry fees for the Half Marathon, Marathon, or Goofy Challenge available to all race entrants by the applicable deadline combined with an additional $15 credit for each of the Half Marathon or Full Marathon and $30 credit for the Goofy Challenge for Disney Rewards cardmembers."

But $15 is $15 so atleast they are offering something to get registration moving.

Anyone follow the link on the Chase email. It opens Active for registration; or so it seems to.

Nope, not in the proper time period, yet.

I just checked my email and haven't received the offer yet. Just to clarify, it's $30 off the early registration price for Goofy?

Yes its $30 off Goofy. You can get to the link by logging onto your Disney Visa through the Chase website and selecting "See Disney offers".

Wonder if you can register yourself and someone else (spouse, etc) and get the discount on both if you are paying for both with your Disney Visa?

I am loving this offer!

Also wonder if one will be able to combine it with the princess code?
At any rate...we do have some options to save a little $. :goodvibes

thanks, I just checked it out! Looks like it's the best discount for Goofy so far!

I would doubt they would allow us to use both discounts, but it says that it can't be combined with select offers or discounts. I guess we'll find out tomorrow if the princess discount is one of those select discounts.

It is $280 for the Goofy with the discount, and $125 for either the Half or the Full with the discount. If you have a friend that does not have a Disney Rewards Visa, I would purchase the tickets under yours so they can get the discount and then they just owe you (that is if they are a good enough friend and will definitely pay you back!)

I have been debating whether or not to keep my Disney Rewards Visa as the only benefit were the rewards dollars but then you could only accrue $500 worth of points each year which at Disney isn't much (it is something but doesn't make a significant impact), and I was starting to hear that an annual fee would be coming. If they start offering these discounts more often, I may forget about dropping the card! :thumbsup2

I highly doubt that they will allow anyone to use the e-mail code and the Disney Rewards Visa promotion combined. But, we will see tomorrow! :cheer2:

More and more it makes me wish I could get a card here in Canada.

So this is odd, by active is letting me go all the way through the registration process for Goofy by using the Cardholder link. It did reject the coupon for doing the Marathon Weekend in 2011.

The link worked for registering us for the half. I was surprised - but SCORE!

Me too, I just officially registered for Goofy!

Thanks for the heads up Shelby!! :) I was able to register for the half just now by going through the link within my Visa account...I haven't gotten an email yet.

If you are a repeat marathoner, the $20 off with code MRTH12BB is a better deal as only $120 for marathon!

So the code is a better deal if you are only running the Marathon, but is the Disney Visa a better discount for the Goofy and of course the half since the discount code doesn't work for it? Whomever is working at Disney Running this year and coming up with their discount promotions should get a raise. Their strategy is working like a charm! :thumbsup2

Followed the link on the email and was able to register myself for the half and hubby for the Goofy.

Did you do it all as one transaction, or two separate ones? Curious, as I will be registering myself and my SO. Thanks!

And...good luck with your 1/2 marathon a month! cool goal!

thanks for the heads up. I didn't get the email (even though I'm a charter Visa member) Used the Disney Visa website and signed up thru that.

$125 plus $8.63 processing fee
