You each allowed to bring five other guest trough the back door of the bus. So it sounds like you will not have a problem with them going on and off with you to help.

You may still rent from Walkers, but will need to arrange to meet the rep for pick-up and return. Walkers continues to get good reviews here from DISers, and reports have been that it's no problem to schedule those meetings. The "preferred vendors" have entered into agreements with WDW regarding type of scooter and possibly insurance or something -- and those are the only vendors allowed to utilize Bell Services/Luggage Services for ECV pick-ups and returns. It in now way indicates a "better" service provided. Apple is a popular vendor, though I've seen several posts in recent months that their service hasn't been up to par. You can check reviews in the FAQ sticky above.

Each person with an ECV may bring up to 5 guests through the back door of the buses. Your family should be fine to travel together.

Enjoy your vacation!

Was there last week and rented scooter from Best Price Mobility. It was waiting for me at bell services when I arrived and returned it to bell services right before we left.
The scooter ran great..had no problems!

We've used Apple Scooters the last several trips for my mom's ECV and highly recommend them. Never had a problem and love having the ECV waiting for us at bell services and being able to just drop it off our last day. We last used them two weeks ago (Dec 6th-16th).

I have used Buenavista Scooters twice and have been very satisfied. I have made the reservations by phone and they have done a great job of meeting my specific needs - cane holder, small scooter (I am very short). The scooters have been in good condition and batteries have held charge well. Plan to use them again next time.

I've rented from Walker for the last 12 years. I still rent from walker - meeting them to collect the ecv and turn it in has been a painless process. It's a price I am willing to pay because I have always had good service from them. My recent trip, I had a problem, and the driver brought me a new ecv at HS within an hour of my call. That has been my previous experience with Walker as well, and so I will continue to support this small local business.

LindaBabe...I rented from Walker Mobility and was also very pleased with their service. I was at Hollywood Studios and started having problems with the battery holding charge. It was only 20 minutes from the time I called their customer service until they showed up with a different scooter! Will definately use them again!

After reading various posts here, we rented for the first time from Walker(rented at parks before), but I was worried a little about meeting the person to receive/return the scooter. The meets went so easy and smooth! ::yes:: They call you based on when your flight lands. I missed it but called back a few min later, told them I was getting on the ME bus. They told me to call when at my first (I think) stop. When I got off the bus at Beach Club and walked up to the entrance, they were right there waiting for me! And, turned out it was nice to have someone there to just confirm things with, about use, charging the battery, how long it would last, etc. He was so nice! :goodvibes

Now, I did have a problem with the first one, later in the evening it would sometimes just stop dead! Wait a few secs and it would go again. Not sure if it was me or something with the scooter itself. But, I didn't want to deal with it all week. So, I called them the next day, Sunday. They were ready to meet me as soon as I needed them, wherever I was going to be. We decided we'd ride over to DHS and meet there. He was waiting for me when we pulled up on the scooter, (which was working fine so far, but still wanted to switch). Anyway, that one worked great all week. ::yes:: Then we were moving resorts on our last day over to OKW, and I wasn't sure how to get the scooter and our luggage there in a way that didn't take all day, splitting up with my DD23 taking luggage in cab and me trying to get there via getting to a park and then finding an OKW bus! So, I asked and they agreed to meet me at BC to pick up and then meet at OKW with a new scooter for my last day, no extra charge, while we took a cab! I just called when we were almost ready to call cab, they came very quickly, and the same guy who met me the week before, was pulling up at new resort as we did! Next day, we arranged a time shortly before my ME time and it worked great. So, it was very easy to meet up with someone from Walker, and I'd highly recommend them to anyone based on that, as well as the entire experience! :thumbsup2 And, it was only half the cost of renting on site! Hmmm, I will probably write another post about my overall experience to recommend them, lol, as I know people seem to like to read of others experiences with the scooter companies. I know I did! :goodvibes
