Evacuated from Toy Story Mania on Friday the 13th

Last night the ride was stopped while CM's got reading glasses out from under a car at the loading are of the ride. Grant it we were stopped for about 10 minutes but you can always count on one jerk in a crowd to make things worse and he did. They made the announcement that the ride would start immediately, the car that had held up the works took off but the rest of the cars hadn't started moving when the jerk in the vehicle in front of us wiggled his way out of the lap bar and stepped out of the car leaving his young child behind setting off the sensors and shutting down the ride. My youngest (14) can't walk and slides from her wheelchair to the companion seat while her sister (22) stays in her chair. Fire department came and lifted my oldest and her chair out and then put youngest daughters chair in the car and lifted her and her chair out. CM's were fantastic and I went to guest services to leave their names in hopes that Disney will acknowledge them for their service. Bright side we got free Mickey bar ice cream and got to see the backstage part of Hollywood Studios.

I am glad they got you and your family off safe and tht the cms was nice I am surprised since thu knew it was a person testing up they couldn't reset the sensors. But it show Disney takes your safety very Seriously and that they will do everything they can to make sure you get off the ride safely.

On a side note I guess it better to be stuck on you story then haunted mansion on Friday the 13.

The always has to be some jerk who ignores the safety rules and puts others out! What a way to teach his kid! Glad you all got out safely though and hope you enjoyed the rest of your time there.

One stupid move can cause headaches and problems for others that weren't even considered by the person who did it in the first place. I do hope that Disney gave that young person the best escort they can give anyone, right out the gates of DHS without a return trip in for a year! I am sorry this had to happen to your family, and I am glad they were able to get them out safely. sometimes it takes a bit of pixiedust to get you buy
