we'll be coming from London to DLP on the Eurostar train..do we get pick up or walk to DLP hotels (porablry staying at New York Hotel)..how far of a walk is it from train station??:confused3

thanks for any info!!;)

i know that the stops for the shuttle buses are straight outside the train station and that the new york is only a short walk through the village. if you've been sitting down for 2 and a half hours, you may be like me, and want to walk to the hotels but it also depends on how many of you there are and how much luggage you have.

This is a guess, but i think you can check in at waterloo station before you board the train and depending on what time you arrive you have your luggage taken to your hotel and you can go straight to the parks. Again this is only based on what i have read not personal experience

If you have booked Eurostar through Disney you'll have the option of getting your park tickets on the train while your luggage will be taken to the hotel.

Otherwise you can walk to the hotel or join a shuttle bus next door to the train station :)

that's great to know!! Thanks everyone!!!;)

If you pack light, the New York Hotel is an easy walk from the station.

Can you only book into your hotel and collect tickets etc at Waterloo if you've booked Eurostar & Hotel through Disney ? We've booked the Disneyland Hotel through Disney but have booked Eurostar direct, as we saved £200 doing it that way !!

that exactly what i wanted to know!! so you saying if you book the train thru DLP instead of eurostar, it cost more money??:confused3

Yes that's correct. If we'd book hotel & Eurostar as a package through Disney it was about £220 more expensive than booking it separately. We are booked in Leisure Select on Eurostar (which I think is like 1st Class on UK trains) for a bit of extra comfort !

so what is the advantage of booking though DLP if it that much more?? That you get park tickets on train then instead of waiting on line at the hotel?? But i would still have to check in still at the hotel, right??

AFAIK if you have booked Eurostar direct you will not be given your park tickets and will therefore need to check in at the hotel first.

The advantage is that you will get park tickets given to you on the train and your luggage will be taken to your hotel for you meaning you can hit the parks straight away and need not go to your hotel until much later where your bags will be waiting for you.

As Reid says if you book Eurostar yourself you will need to deal with your bags yourself (honestly, it's not a big deal) and check in at your hotel before collecting your park tickets.
