Hello looking for some advice if anyone can help :)

We're planning to go to DLP in April, and I have just phoned Eurostar to find out when we can book our train tickets (direct train too expensive now)

She said the Eurostar tickets will be available in December if we go to Paris, but the TGV part of the Lille journey won't be bookable until January. I would rather go via Lille as we have done it before but I'm not sure if I want to wait until January in case the cheapest Eurostar tickets have gone by then.

What would you do? I could book the Paris train on the day they are released and be guaranteed the £69 tickets, but that means finding our own way to DLP and we have never done that route before. Is it difficult? If we wait until Jan the journey is easier but we risk having to pay more for the tickets.

Any advice from anyone who has done it either/both ways? Thanks in advance :goodvibes

We have always travelled via Paris when using the Eurostar, it is an easy journey! You take a very short train ride to a station on the RER line and then catch the direct RER train to DLRP. The entire journey takes around 1 hour, of which 45 minutes is on the direct train. As the train to Paris takes less time than the Direct train to Disney the difference in travelling time is not significant at all. Oh and it costs about 6-8 euros each way per adult (I can't remember the exact price!)

I have no idea what the ticket prices will be like as it gets closer to your trip, but there are lots and lots of trains to Paris; I think there are around 15-17 trains a day. This means that there is much more choice when it comes to price. Last December we booked in a flash sale around 6 weeks before we travelled and nearly all the trains I looked at had £69 tickets available.

Having said all that, for our upcoming trip we are travelling direct! It is more expensive (although we are travelling Standard premier so that pushed the cost up quite a bit) but my fiancee is having quite a few mobility issues and may need to use a wheelchair and we thought it would be easier to travel direct. Whilst the journey from Paris to DLRP is an easy one, there are quite a few platform changes/stairs involved (there are lifts but they have been out of order a few times we have been)

Sorry I couldn't be more decisive but there are quite a few factors involved. I would be happy to answer any more questions though!

Thank you so much for your reply :goodvibes

I think we are leaning towards going via Paris as I want to book it asap to guarantee the lower price. And you make it sound so easy! I'll have to research how to get to the RER but hopefully it shouldn't be too hard.

Thanks again for your help
