I booked 4 adult tickets for the eurostar for my trip in september, as Vinnie is only 2 i havent booked him a seat but was hoping to get a table so we could do some drawing etc with him.
When i printed our tickets we have a table on the way home but not the way there, do you think if i called them i could change my seat from duos to tables?

thanks x

We did this and the lady on the phone was very helpful and changed our seats to a table with no problem ::yes::

All changed with no problem we are now in a family carriage.
What's the difference? If any? x

Thats good news, Eurostar can be very helpful when they want to be :).

The family carriage of the train has more doors in carriage so children cannot wander too far.

Thank you, extra doors sound like a good idea with a lively toddler :)

We've travelled in a normal carriage at a table of 4 & in the family section and if I remember correctly the tables in the normal sections just fold up into the middle, ie make the table narrower, but in the family section they either fold in half length ways towards the window or they are just shorter in length - can't remember which :lmao: I just remember there being more room in the family section to move around in a set of 4 seats! With 4 adults & a toddler at a normal table it's a bit of a tight squeeze lol

As Jonjo says there are an extra set of doors, you've just got 4 blocks of 4 seats, but be aware you still get a lot of people coming through from the main part of the carriage as the family section is next to the toilets, good in one respect as you are closer to take little kids when they suddenly need to 'go'. Last time we went all the kids in the family section ended up playing together in the aisle, which was nice for the kids but we were having to constantly move them & the toys out the way for people wanting to come through!

We're booked in the family section in March, will try and remember to check for you :) hopefully even get a pic for you lol

A photo would be awesome if you remembered so i can have a look.
I'm an obsessive planner and like to know exactly what to expect at every turn!

I've just upgraded our hotel booking in Sequoia, we were booked into 2 standard rooms but after doing some research i saw Montana rooms have minibars so a quick call with my travel agent who spoke to disney and checked that we could use it as a fridge for milk as long we inform recepetion upon arrival. So for an extra few quid i have one less worry now :)

OH no I didn't realise there was a family section so I just chose a carriage with a free table? Are these smaller and not as good as the family carriage - I suppose they'd be less fun ? I might ring up myself and change ! Thanks for info guys !

The family carriage only has a half table on the seats next to the window.

I was in one last week when I went to London.

Much prefer the seats with a full table so everyone can have a bit and no arguments :rotfl:

eta- Here's a picture of it folded up

Thanks Carrie - I think i'll leave it as the boys like to colour etc and this would cause a riot in our house lol:rolleyes1

Can't wait to check out the Eurostar! We've been wanting to go this way for ages. Just a shame we have to get a flight to London first:mad:

Hope the change over at lille is as easy as im imagining or my DH will kill me :rotfl2:

Am I right in thinking that the only option i have is to print my tickets using my ref and payment card at St Pancras station? And is this handy to do?

Thanks for all your info everyone. I am a novice at the traveling bit !
