Sorry for all the eurostar questions :lmao:

But...what do you get being in Lesuire select, just found out on the journey to DLRP we have been upgraded to lesuire select (not sure why :confused3 ) but i was wondering do you still get this meal and free drinks that people have mentioned in recent threads and what other advantages do you get.

We are travelling standard class on the way back, no upgrade there

3 weeks to go now   Im sooo excited :)

If you have been upgraded I am sure you will still get the meal. I know certain times of the year Eurostar does upgrade standard tickets free of charge and it looks like you have been lucky!! :thumbsup2

The meal consists of a cooked breakfast ~ I just looked back at one of our trip reports (see, they always come in handy!!) and it was fromage frais, cheesy omelette with a chicken sausage, baked beans and tomato, bread roll, croissant, butter and jam, and an apple plus tea, coffee, hot chocolate, soft drinks, water. What's so nice is that instead of the plastic containers you get your food served in on airlines it's in ceramic ones and you get proper cutlery!!

We haven't been on the Eurostar for a while so not sure if the menu has changed but that's the gist of it.

The seats are larger too so are more comfortable.

Enjoy your journey!! :goodvibes

Wow, congrats on the upgrade, didn't know they did that! Whose button did you press, how did you book, and how did you find out? :thumbsup2

I know about the upgrades because I am subscribed to the Eurostar site newsletter and occasionally they send an email to say a limited number of seats are available to upgrade free of charge. Usually at quiet times of the year like January or September and never school holidays, unfortunately. :sad2:

I have read it that it has to be a new booking, I don't think you could upgrade an existing booking if you had already had one for those dates. I guess it's an incentive to fill empty seats.

I booked my tickets through rail Europe through first choice, i guess me and my family were very lucky to get upgraded. Tho i wish i would of found out when i got on the eurostar as it would been a even nicer suprise.

I just looked on the Eurostar website and it says the meal isnt included on the direct route to DLRP, is this correct? If it is how depressing lol, i was looking forward to a nice scrub up meal lol.

Its a shame they couldnt throw in a extra seat for DD as she will be sitting on my lap for the journey haha.....hmm maybe thats just pushing my luck :)

dont know if this helps but i book leisure select to dlp today and my travel agent asked euro star if the meal was included because we too saw the web site saying it was not
the answer he gave me was that it is included but the meal is different to the one offered to other destinations
the dlp one is far more family orientated

hope that helps
steve

oooooh thanks for that :)
Least i wont go hungry now haha.
Thanks everyone x
