Europe

In about a month a group of us are going to London, Paris, and Rome. And in each of those cities we have a free day all to ourselves, so I was wondering if any of you have ever been and have suggestions for things to do in our free time, like tourists' stuff and places to shop. Oh, and any clubs too. Your advice would be greatly apreciated.

In paris be sure to visit the catacombs... its not everyone's style but they have a lot of history to them.

I haven't been to europe yet but next year I will be going to Paris and Rome, among other cities in Europe. Who are you going with?

Hmmmm can't really help you with Paris, but my cousin has been to Rome and she says the shopping is not to be missed. As for London I guess it depends on your budget and stuff like that. For shopping in London I always go to Harrods. For tourist sites obviously check out Buckingham palace, trafalgar square, big ben, the houses of parliament etc. If you can try to ride the London Eye, it gives you an awesome view of the city. Make sure you avoid Madame Tussauds, a complete waste of money and time in my opinion. Also if you think you might enjoy it then check out a west end show.

I'm going with a gourp of about 40 ppl and we all go to the same school, but its not a school trip. my use-to-be history teacher is chaperoning and he is really cool about things, plus my english teacher and she tends to turn a blind eye here or there

I'm going with a gourp of about 40 ppl and we all go to the same school, but its not a school trip. my use-to-be history teacher is chaperoning and he is really cool about things, plus my english teacher and she tends to turn a blind eye here or there

That's basically what we're doing. Every year, a couple of teachers plan a trip to Europe over Easter, and anyone who wants to go can.

That's cool i wish we had german lessons in my school or are you taking it out of school? I know some german some hugarian since my great grandparents came over from hungry i learned some of it and i know spanish and a couple other words in differnet languages.

yeah, like my school could get a german teacher. no, one of my good friend's mother is fluent in German and she is teaching me, her two sons and my brother. And i listen to a tape. I can only speak very little, but i hope i learn enough so when i run into some german hottie in europe i can give him my telephone number! (lol)
