well, thanks everyone for all the great advice, but I think we actually opted to take a cruise. As much as I would like to go to the UK, the flights are just killing me! I would rather spend my money on the actual experience rather than just the airplane seat! As the cost of this cruise just covers the airfare to the UK. We'll try again when we have more time to plan and can go when airfare is cheaper. Again, thanks for all the good advice!!!

I just saw you are going to take a cruise. Well maybe EUR another time.

Almost two years ago we went to Disneyland Paris, Paris and Amsterdam. (Bit random I know but, DH has a business in a small town nearish to Amsterdam.)

It was AMAZING.

Honestly, if you don't want to break the bank, I'd avoid the UK. It is SOOOOO expensive there. I'd stick with old eastern block countries like Croatia, Poland, Czech Republic, that sort of thing. They are unbelieveable beautiful countries (Croatias beaches are some of the best in the whole world) and you get it all for a fraction of the cost. That's what we're doing this summer for our girls trip. 1 night in a 3 star in Salzburg Austria is costing us the same as 3 nights in a 4 star in Croatia on the beach. Easy to see where my money's gonna go!
