Can be bettered - current rate on fairfx is 1.1075 where as the closing rate commercially on Friday was 1.134.
If you get a Nationwide Credit Card they will give you the commercial exchange rate without taking any commission off unlike the majority of other cards so if you had one, that is a better deal and also no cost to buy.
OK, downside is you have to get approved for one....just pointing out the options.
Totalling obvious though that it is a far better rate than the tourist exchange rates although you don't need to exchange cash again get cash from the ATM, again Nationwide don't charge when using their debit card and you get the commercial rate - of course you need the funds in the account...
