Hi All
Just a quick up date, bought my shares through the Halifax online share dealing account on 2nd Feb 2011 printed off forms, signed scanned back into PC and emailed to Share holders club, all on the same day. Received my Shareholders Card yesterday 18/2/11 the real thing not a cardboard one!:cool1: and they have doubled in value since I bought them. Thanks to all of you who have previously posted on this subject, all very helpful and can't wait to use my new card now :banana::banana:

Congrats!
Haven't got my card yet, but I am stateside. Hoping it arrives soon!:thumbsup2

Bit worried now as we got ours several weeks ago and not had the card yet:confused3 we have a paper certificate to show so at least will not miss out on any discounts but I wanted to see the golden loveliness:worship:

i cant wait to use your discount mother :)

I would not get anyones hopes up that salon mickeys some great hidden place,, a crap coffee n muffin standing in the corner as the 5 tables are all taken,, then you find out @ the other end off the park (temple of doom) that your park ticket was not validated properly so you cant get the fast pass you wanted.

The members card is well worth it for the meal discounts

That's a shame last week we had it to ourselves 4 days out of 5 and found it to be invaluable to get some respite from the parks. Had a warm drink and cookie or pain au chocolat which counted as lunch for us and probably saved close to 15 euros each day :thumbsup2

Sorry you feel that way about Salon Mickey, all the times I have been in there we have always got a seat & had a nice warm drink & cakes which was free & would cost at least €6 each in a shop.

I have also never had a problem with my ticket not being validated properly, shame it happened to you

yes i agree we have always found it useful. on our last trip they had fresh fruit which is quite hard to get in the parks, ash was over the moon to see a banana lol. i have to say between the three of us we have easily consumed the value of my shares in salon mickey alone.

obviously if you've not had a great experience in Salon Mickey it would cloud your opinion - but I have to say, we use Salon Mickey in the mornings most mornings we are at DLP, usually around 9.15am ish for a light breakfast, and love it :goodvibes. We've often been the only folk in there too, so get the pick of the pastries and seats.

Counting it up since I got my shareholders card, I think I've visited Salon Mickey half a dozen times, and have never had to stand to have my coffee, or had a problem with my park ticket being validated.

Hi we are off to euro Disney with our 2 children the beginning of June for 4 days for the 1st time. I have seen on various forums people saying about shares and I am debating about getting some just wondered how much they cost, what you do, get for having them and any other advice anyone can give would be greatly appreciated. If you also have any advice about half board option or what to miss/where to eat etc that to would he appreciated. You can probably gather any advice would be greatly received. We ate staying in the Cheyenne.

Thank you for your help.

Thankfully your experience is the exception rather than the norm from ours and others on the forum.

Shame you did not get that same level of service that in our opinion the CM's pride themselves with providing at Salon Mickey.
We have visited Salon Mickey too many times to remember and only on one occassion were we slightly disappointed. However that was a self inflicted bump.
We tried to have a late pain au chocolate nearing 12 noon on a Sunday. Surprise, surprise there was very little food left on one of the busy park days.

Lesson learnt we did not repeat this error again :thumbsup2

Hi Sam1982

I bought my shares on 2/2/11 when they were only 4.39 euros they are currently 7.95 euros. I bought via Halifax online share dealing account, which I found to be the cheapest as they don't have an ongoing charge, just £17.50 for each trade. Set up an account and either buy 5 shares (then you have to pay a fee to join shareholders club) or 20 shares and its free to join, Email proof of share holding and application form (on the shareholders website) to Disney shareholders club and wait (16 days for me) for a nice shiney shareholders card that entitles you to 15% off at restaraunts and shops in DLP 10% in UK Disneystores plus other benefits and discounts.
Enjoy:cool1:

You might find it easier asking about non-shareholders club questions in a new thread, you'll get more replies then :).
