aside from these, where do people buy and sell items (not looking at amazon)?

any new sites similar to these?

A new site isn't going to attract much traffic compared to eBay or Etsy. Lots of people sell using Craigslist.

except things change on a dime. a new site that is really cool could be popular fast. looking for new places to shop!

Pinterest! Some of the pins have links to sites where you can buy the item you just pinned in the comments. So, I guess you can just add your link.

http://yardsellr.com & http://style.ly - sister sites. I'm not really a fan. Awkward shopping and the buyer pays a premium instead of the seller paying fees. Some people I know do ok selling on it.

http://copious.com - Received a few emails to sell here. Fees are high for sellers.

http://www.rubylane.com - Antiques, more focused shoppers.

http://www.bonanza.com - I know some people who do ok selling on here. I've never shopped or sold on it.

http://www.artfire.com - handmade and vintage like etsy

I like artfire.com too
Sometimes has some more interesting things than etsy
I've never sold on any of them so not sure how it works from a sellers perspective but I've bought tons from all three sites.
