I think it depends on whom you are with. When we are getting together with our good friends we all tend to divvy up the leftovers. So we will take home some of our stuff and some of your stuff.

At a lot of parties the host/hostess will tell everyone to take leftovers.

I wouldn't worry if you think you made a faux pas though. I'm sure most people wouldn't give it a second thought afterward so I wouldn't worry about it.

I do make eveyone else take what they bring home...my guys don't eat leftovers. Lucky me, I get to cook a different meal every night
