This is right next to the Ibis, and at the entrance to the train station at Val d'Europe as I understand.

Has anyone stayed there and can give me a review? Pros, cons?

I was just chatting away to DD (as you do ;) ) about when we might go to DLRP next year, and somehow the suggestion of going for her 8th birthday in April cropped up (I don't know how that happened :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 ). I've had a look at the prices for the Etap, and I can take DD for 3 nights there for less than the price of 2 at any of the onsite/associated hotels.

For us, the hotel room is only a place to sleep and shower, so as long as its clean, and convenient for DLRP, I'd be happy.

Hiya - My DD and I stayed @ Etap in June.

Great offsite location! The hotel itself was clean/bright/welcoming. Check in was fast. Breakfast is the usual fayre, nice enough, handy not having to go out first thing. The room was spotless, cleaned every day and used towels replaced. Beds are very firm, which suit me but may not be to your taste.

Shower and toilet are separate (and quite small) but with just the 2 of you, it should be fine.

I booked through the website below;

If you need any further info (or handy hints) please ask :)

Thats brilliant, thanks for that Sinead.

Can you buy a carnet of tickets between DLRP and Val d'Europe at the DLRP station? I understand the exit near the hotel at Val d'Europe is not a manned ticket office?

If you are coming from DLRP out to Val D'Europe then it is best to buy a carnet there. When you get off one stop along, there are 2 exits at Val and these are clearly marked. 1 will take you out to the centre beside the huge shopping mall, 2 will bring you straight up to a courtyard where the hotel(s) are situated.

When coming from the hotel in the direction of DLRP, exit 2 is indeed unmanned but if you already have your carnet, no problem! If not, there are automated machines or alternatively, you can walk along to the main station entrance/exit and purchase tickets there.

I hope this makes sense to you!

Perfect, thanks Sinead.

That advice is so good, I'm going to bookmark it and keep it for when I go :thumbsup2 .
