We've never been on this ride before. I've read about it to get a good idea of what it's like but I was just wondering... is this a motion simulator ride (like Simpsons) or is it an actual "ride"?? What is the "bike" that you're in like, is it shaped like an actual bike that you're sitting on while moving or is it something else that makes you feel like you're on a bike?? I hope I explained this okay!!! :confused3 TIA everyone!!!!!

E.T. is a slow moving dark ride where the track is located above you (think Peter Pan at the MK, but on a larger scale).

The seats are themed to look like bicycles, but are not actual bikes. The seats are much bigger than typical bike seats and the handlebars act as a restraint (like lap bars).

It is a ride, not like a simulator. The bikes are the ride vehicles. They are (I believe) 4 bikes across and 3 rows back. They look like bikes and you sit on them and they have a bar that comes down with the handle bars from the bike.

You can search on you tube to find ride videos try "ET Adventure, Universal Studios, Orlando"

This is a good webpage with pics of the ride http://www.discoveruniversal.com/attractions/etadventure.cfm

Hope this helps

Thanks for the great descriptions and website!!! Can't wait to ride it now!!

We been going too US since the early 90's..

This is one of the origanal rides left at US and I never get tired of the theme!!

If they ever take it out,I'll be at the front gates picketing!!!

Tsk tsk, such horrible misinformation. ET Adventure is a bicycle adventure. You have to get on a bicycle and pedal the entire way all by yourself. If you can find ET, he'll be able to make your bike fly. But ET is a scardy cat, so good luck with that Quest. :darth:

:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Actually, what's describe above is spot on. The bikes are decent sized seats and the restraint comes down to you. It's a slow moving dark ride that starts out int he midst of the ET movie, then takes you to ET's home world. At the end of the ride, ET will say "Goodbye" to everyone in your set of bikes. He knows over 6000 names.

ET is one of my favorite rides of all time. You'll love it!

it is so tiring and uphill most of the way, and the last time i rode the others didnt pedal so i had to pedal the whole thing by myself. think of a surrey bicycle on the boardwalk going up the hill by epcot on the big bike and pedalling by yourself. be prepared to sweat.
