ESTA ? with jaunt out of US during stay

I am planning on going to USA in January but may fly out for a weekend during the stay to Bermuda. Do I do one esta for first part of trip and leaving when go to Bermuda and another for arriving from bermuda and going back to uk? Or is it that I do one for uk to uk and then bermuda to bermuda? Any ideas? Thanks!

The ESTA is valid for 2 years for multiple trips so one application will cover all trips. When you go to Bermuda it will show you have left the US so no worries about going back again. We have now done 2 trips on the same application no problems.
