esta question - group esta 3 out of 4 run out

Does anyone know what happens if you do a group(ed) esta and 3 out of 4 of the party now have new passports so require new esta's. Can the 4th person still travel on the old esta or should they also get new one. If we have to do a new esta for my eldest dd it will be to her new address so she will then need different insurance (insurance company said fine to travel on our family one until as long as esta and customs forms still have her at our address too). This is a biggy for us as she has complex medical issues and we are tying to get to 1 year since last hospital admission before she tries to get her own insurance. Any advice?

Group ESTAs are just a way to group different estas under a unique number, to make it easier to retrieve, and to have only one payment instead of several.

Grouping the ESTAs has no impact on the individual ESTA

as long as the 4th person's ESTA is still valid, there is no need renewing it.
Just make a group for the 3 other passengers who need a new one.

Your situation happened to us. I see above we didn't need to, but I just renewed all Four of them even though only two needed renewing. I decided it was less complicated to have to rember different renewal dates. We got out of synch when me and DD took a sneaky extra trip last year without our boys!!!!
