I just watched this last night, and man was it hard to watch...It's odd, because I've seen other shows and specials about 9/11, but this really just brought it all back for me.
I will never forget the first sporting event I attended after the attacks. WVU was hosting Kent about a week and a half after 9/11, and despite the fact that the opponent was less than stellar, the place was pretty packed. The Pride (that's WVU's marching band) played quite a few patriotic songs, and both teams actually came out to the field early to help sing "God Bless America", after which I do not believe there was a dry eye in the house....All of which was punctuated with occassional chants of "USA ! USA !"
I've been through a lot of emotional moments in that stadium, both good and bad...but I will never forget that day.
If you are a sports fan and you haven't seen this show, you really ought to watch for it on ESPN Classic....
