ESPN the Weekend help

We will be in WDW during ESPN the Weekend. This is not the focus of our trip but something we want to enjoy! Does anyone have info from previous years? Where and how would one meet the athletes or get an autograph? My DS checked the list and there are a couple he would like to see. Any info would be appreciated! TIA!!

We were at the World last year for ESPN the Weekend. Most of the atletes were at MGM doing interviews and parades, there were so many people it made it hard to get close for autographs. If you go to the ESPN restaurant on the Boardwalk they have a schedule of who is appearing there. Almost every night there would be someone different doing live interviews and then signing autographs. Good Luck.

Does this make the rest of the park really busy that day - lines for rides? OR does it work in reverse where there aren't as many people trying to get on the rides since their focus is more on the athletes and ESPN stuff? I'd love to hear about your experience on this issue from last year. THANKS!

I would like to know about ESPN weekend also. We are leaving for Disney Feb 27 and will be there until March 6. Can't wait to go. My husband really wants to go to this.
