ESPN Skybox

I read somewhere that they had remodeled the Wonder and have removed the ESPN skybox. Anyone been on the Wonder recently and found this true? What did they change and is there still a place to go and watch games, etc. My DH was excited about this and now I find this out....

... that it's history? I'm afraid so. Though I can't personally verify this for another 3 weeks, the online deck plans already reflect this change.

ESPN is gone,they now have a sports lounge called Diversions with 6 or 7 LCD or Plasma TVs. Watched game 1 of the World Series there!

Diversions is a much more cozy spot than the ESPN Club was. Also, the sound is better and more pub looking.

It's true, like everyone said, there is no more ESPN Skybox...also a bone of contention with my DH when we were on board three weeks ago! However, we loved Diversions! We had late dinner seating, so we went there every night of the World Series and watched pre-game. It is very cozy, dark, much like a corner pub. Your husband will still be able to enjoy the games!!

My husband was disappointed too, but as long as he gets to watch his "games" at Diversions, I think he'll survive!

I hope so- we are sailing on super bowl sunday and I told dh all about the ESPN bar.

We will be sailing Superbowl also & if the Steelers are in it, my DH will be glued to the TV that night!

We will be celebrating my DD's 9th b-day on Superbowl sunday also!

Diversions is very nice!! You will have a great time watching games there....

Diversions is fantastic. We sailed during the football playoffs last January and they had a "tailgate" buffet set up on the corner.

They also have the buffet set up in the Promenade lounge where the game is broadcast for families.

I had never sailed on the Wonder before, therefore had never been to ESPN. During our recent cruise though many people who had sailed before commented on how much better Diversions was...more spacious, comfortable, etc. Enjoy, I am so jealous.
