ESPN Club @WDW - same as ESPN Zone @DLR?

I'm planning my 5th trip to WDW, but up until now, I've had no need to check out a sports place. Now I'm married to a sports MANIAC (he's from Philly, of course), which means spending at least one meal at ESPN-something.

At DLR, ESPN Zone has these absolutely wonderful and magical recliners, with large trays and a drink holder so you can eat and drink in total relaxation. It's now a must do every time we go to DLR, they're so heavenly. .

DH is wanting to do the same thing at WDW, but I haven't been able to find out if ESPN Zone has recliners, too... anyone know?

I never saw anything like that at ESPN - WDW. They have booths & high tops around the bar and regular tables & chairs in the restaurant.

Aw, such a shame. It's the best part of ESPN Zone at DLR. So relaxing after a day in the parks.

ESPN Zone at WDW is not the same as it is in DL.

First, yes, they did have the recliners a year or so ago, but there are only two and you have to be a party of two, randomly chosen for the game with sound in the main area during the big games. (yes, we got them one day for a Packer game and they were fabulous...we felt like rock stars..lol).

ESPN at WDW is much, much smaller than in DL. It is still fun, but you can catch the games many places.

We like to watch the games at Dolphin pool bar area. They show all the games. Nice food/drink specials...all outside.

ESPN at Walt Disney World is a Club. It is not a Zone. Big difference. As far as I know, the ESPN Club is the only one of its kind. It wasn't intended to be a Zone.

My ds and dh still talk about those chairs at ESPN in Disneyland. That was the highlight of their trip!!

IMO, WDW's version is more of a sports bar atmosphere vs DL's, which we thought had better quality of food & service.

We only ate @ the DL one once early evening last summer, but it seemed to have more of a mixed age/family crowd than we've experienced several visits @ WDW
