ESPN Club question

No, you put you name on the list and wait. I think you may be able to wait at the bar but I'm not sure. Most times it isn't a long wait unless there is a big sporting event going on or on a Sat/Sun during football season. There is a big college following and a big NFL following during important games.

Yes you can get reservations, but it is different.

You can get "VIP Tables" for whatever game you want. It's $55 per person, including kids. That $55 goes towards the bill. If you don't spend $55 worth of food, you lose out on the rest of the money. If you spend exactly $55, you will owe nothing but gratuity.

Also, the prices are not "Disney" prices. It's like typical Chiles/TGIF Friday prices.

We have called three times to reserve a VIP chair in September. First time they said we needed specific games so when i had those I called back twice, both times no one could help me. Does anyone have any suggestions?

***this is completely my husband's deal, we are staying at the Boardwalk for this.....what we do when we are married sigh....he is driving me Crazy about this.

I called ESPN directly and the girl said the VIP tables have not been released yet and that when they are you will also be able to book them through Disney. Called Disney Dining and she confirmed that they are still waiting but to check back in a few weeks. I was looking for a date in October. ESPN Club 407-939-1177

I think you are calling too early. What is the game/match he wants to see? It could be that he doesn't even need to go to the Club to see whatever - he might be able to stay in the room.

The VIP tables are per game. That is why you need to know a specific game. They dont want someone coming in at a VIP table spending the $55.00 and just lounging around all day. When your game is over so is your VIP table. While I dont think they would kick you out for a few minutes if you were still eating or drinking as the game clock hits zero, it wont be too much after that. In your case the times of those games in Sept probably are not official times so therefore they cannot book the table yet. When I did it 2 years ago, they told me when the game I was watching was over I would need to settle the bill and vacate the area but I booked it only about a month in advance.

It's Monday night football and Thursday night I guess a college game. I called ESPN directly and they said they usually get the reservations from Disney a few weeks before and to call Disney. I called Disney and they said call back in a few weeks.

The Monday night game will be on in the room. If your husband wants a party atmosphere, get the VIP seating. But if he wants to watch the game, he should stay in the room. If my team is on Monday night, I don't want anyone from the opposing team to tick me off.

For the Thursday night game, yes, get the VIP seating since there's no telling what game will be on the coverage in the Disney World area.

Ehh... It's like $22 for a pitcher of draft beer at ESPN Club. I'd say that's in line with Disney pricing, or maybe a Chili's/Friday's in a heavy tourist area (such as this).

We did the VIP seating in November 2013. It could have changed since then, but at that time, they would only do VIP reservations one week prior. This is because they know which game would be on the big screen one week prior, so people would know if they wanted to go ahead and reserve their seat or neat. I called the restaurant directly and asked for a manager, who took my info including credit card so they would charge you if you no showed.

I called tonight and got reservations for September.

I called Disney dinning they didn't have a clue.

I called the club directly the hostess said let me take your number a manager will call you.

30 minutes later a manager called, I gave him the dates of Sept 14 & 17 and a credit card. I got confirmation numbers and my husband is finally chilled out about the whole thing

So I guess ask to talk to a manager?
