Lifted from another post: Don't if it's been posted here yet:

Michael Eisner joins Larry King

Friday, February 20
Exclusive: Disney CEO Michael Eisner gives his first interview since Comcast Corp.'s hostile takeover bid. He joins Larry to discuss the battle over the Magic Kingdom.
Plus, Regis Philbin gives his "final answer" on the new show, "Super Millionaire." Tune in tonight at 9 p.m. ET.

Don't count on much...King will probably toss him softballs to hit...I doubt he will hit Eisner with some tough questions.

It sure doesn't seem like Eisner's very familiar with the parks... he was talking about how great it was to have his job and not only mentioned Mission:Space at Epcot Center, but Mickey's Philharmagic at Disneyland in Disney World. Boy, that certainly inspires confidence.

Also, you could make one hell of a drinking game if you drank every time he said something about ESPN.

I'm not impressed at all -- and I haven't even seen the call-in questions yet.

I only saw part of it but the call-in part was the most interesting. Eisner didn't seem particularly comfortable to say the least.

By the way, he also mentioned Pirates being decorated for Christmas. Have I missed something?

"By the way, he also mentioned Pirates being decorated for Christmas. Have I missed something?"

What do you expect from a man that sells hot dogs in the park once a year.

Did you get his everything is great, fantastic, fabulous, I like Roy, I like the world, we paint Disney Land every night, there aren't any cheap rides at the second theme park in Calif.

I need a roll of Tums!!

manning,

did you hearhim admit that he cheated I mean overcharged guest for the hot dogs?

He also said that it was all Pixar wanting to leave Disney and trying to take advantage of Disney

I wonder what reality he really lives in

Mike

Maybe he should go on the O'Reilly Factor, so he can be in a No Spin Zone. ;)

He also mentioned that Mickey's Philharmagic was at WDW and Disneyland. When did Disneyland get Mickey's Philharmagic?

Also I can't wait to see to "Pirates of the Caribbean Christmas". It would be worth a trip to California to see it.

Maybe Eisner will add "Tower of Terror Christmas" at Disney/MGM for this year's holiday events!

no, he talked at length about the holidays in the parks and mentioned the seasonal success of the holiday makeovers of both IASW and POTC.

He referred to Mickey's Philharmagic as being at Disneyland in Walt Disney World. Nice.

"When did Disneyland get Mickey's Philharmagic?"

It's been in the works for several months now as an enhancement to the underwhelming 50th Anniversary celebration for Disneyland's Birthday. It will probably replace 'Honey I Shrunk the Audience' in Tomorrowland, although some are pushing for it to go to Califorina Adventure (it was supposed to replace the Muppet film, but I think those plans have just been changed...).

I saw Michael Eisner on Larry King last night and it made me sick.:crazy2: Talk about putting a spin on everything - unbelievable! Michael reminds me of a crafty politician who dodges every question. I do not believe Michael when he said Roy never discussed anything with him. I wish Larry King would have asked him, "Wasn't it true that Roy got you this job?" Michael has no shame in stabbing Roy Disney in the back. Michael Eisner looked very uncomfortable and nervous sitting there. :scared:

I remember one time when Michael Eisner was on the T.V. show the View and was asked to name the seven dwarfs from Snow White. He couldn't do it. I was shocked!! He was asked a second time and then you could see him getting mad. :headache: I laughed my head off and then I realized it was pretty sad when the head of Disney can even name all seven dwarfs from Snow White. That says it all.

I would love to see Roy Disney debate Michael Eisner on Larry King. Wouldn't that be great!! (In your dreams - Michael is too much of a coward to do it).

It is true Michael Eisner's ego is too big and Disney has suffered due to his bad decisions. God Bless Roy Disney! He understands the magic. Roy, you have 100% of my support! www.savedisney.com

After last night's train wreck, I'm glad I voted no!:bounce: :Pinkbounc

I am afraid most people watching the interview don't keep up with what is going on at the parks like we do here. I am afraid he will be believed by most of the audience.

:bounce:

I agree, many people will be duped by his performance last night.
I am also glad I voted against him when I made my vote online. I really hope Roy's efforts pay off and we get rid of Ei$ner.

DW and I missed most of the interview. Does anyone know when it will be on again? Thanks. :wave2:

Did anyone else notice that when ME was talking about Disney being #1 in Box Office in 2003 he said that they would have been #1 "even without Nemo". Like, hey Pixar, we don't need you! Funny how he slipped that in.
