can someone provide me with a good online escrow service to use for renting points??

Are you the owner of the points? Or the non-member wanting the member to make the reservation for you? You basically are at the mercy of the member if you are not a member. If I were the member, I wouldn't use an escrow service because it would mean I couldn't use my money until after you checked out and were totally satisfied.
