Escape to Neverland - A new Tagliarchy adventure!!

Yesterday was all screwed up because my employee was sick, and I had to work unexpectedly :guilty:So I wasn't able to get any of my errands done, and then I had to shut the store down a 1/2 hour early so I could go home and get ready for chuch and the wedding we went to - it was crazy!!! So, now I"m totally behind on everything I needed to do this weekend - I hate it when that happens:headache:

The wedding we went to though was lovely, and it was good to see many friends. I wish everyone's lives, including mine, were not so busy so we could see each other more. Maybe someday - when we all retire:rolleyes:

The girls are not here today, because they spent the night at my inlaws, so it's very quiet here. I'm going to catch up on some things that need to get done, and make a grocery list for tomorrows shopping trip to Aldis. Then we are having dinner at my inlaws, which is very nice of them.:goodvibes

Danauk - I'm glad dinner with the inlaws went well:)

To everyone else - :wave2:

Have a good day today everyone!!!

Today is FIL's birthday---72 years old. He had lunch out at an Irish pub, had his birthday pie, and played cards with his granddaughter. FIL was too busy to talk long on the phone because of the game (MIL was winning). He is having a bit off day in his health (he was well enough to do stuff) so it was good to call early.

We are stil deciding our future WDW dates.

We are having such grey and rainy weather - yuck!!! The weather person said we could even see some snowflakes:eek: They wouldn't accumulate though, but it still stinks that we may see them.

Belle - Happy Birthday to your FIL :cake: I'm glad he was able to enjoy his day, even if he wasn't feeling well. My mother's bday was yesterday too :cake:

I best drag Steph out of bed and tell her to get ready for school.
Have a good day!!!

Happy Monday morning. I joined Weight Watchers on-line yesterday, so today begins my monitoring of food intake and energy output. Because of income reductions (furloughs) I couldn't really spend the money to join and go to meetings, but the on-line plan only costs about $5 a week...heck that's just giving up a couple of lunch-time colas. I know the accountability is really going to help me get going on this healthy eating plan. (Of course, before I started, I had to finish off the KFC in the fridge!)

And in the 'easy come, easy go' catagory. My tax refunds have shown up just at the same time as my hospital/doctor bills. :sad2:

Hey....

He had a beautiful weekend here and today is also glorious.

Not typical Scotland weather.

Its The boys last day of school hols so Im glad he can get out to play.

Hope youse all have a good day.

Hey All! just popping in to say Hi. Going out to lunch with a Dis'er today. I just love her!

We are down to the wire. Sam graduates in less than two weeks, Pete deploys in three weeks. Tom gets out of school in one week, home a month then off to an 11 week intensive Russian immersion program at ASU then to Russia for two weeks. I will be lonely w/o everyone at home. I still have Lauren. Poor kid,. I will drive her crazy!! hehehe

Have a great day. Hope the weather clears for you all!

ibouncetoo I'm doing weight watchers on line too, I find it really easy to follow. Although I do sometimes it hard to keep self motivated.

Slo More snow?? I hope your weather improves.

Scotlass Hope you enjoyed the last day of the school holidays, we were back today.

Well back at work today, 5 more weeks (well actually 4 weeks 4 days as we have a long weekend for May day inbetween!) then a week off again!! One of my assistants returned today which was great. The other was supposed to come in, but then the boss got a message that she was going to the doctors but she never showed up. I text her to see if she was OK and the doctor hadn't been able to see her so she had to go to the ER. She said she would be in tomorrow, but I doubt it. The boss and I aren't really happy as we know she is ill, but she was off work for 4 weeks, then in our 2 week holiday she went abroad for a vacation, then she didn't come back today as she was ill. Not good really. Oh well, I'm going to read some more menus on allearsnet, I keep changing my mind on where to eat in the summer. Usually we either cook in the BCV as we have a full kitchen or we eat at a 2 dining credit restaurant (except we don't have the dining plan!) This trip seen as we have the free dining we need to eat at more of the 1 credit places, and I am trying to have more in park meals so we can spend more evenings still in the parks. Reccomendations anyone??

well since you asked... LOL

love Le Cellier, Boma, Chef's de France, Kona Cafe, Coral Reef, ... Haven't been to The Wave - but it is on my list.. Eric likes Chef Mickey's to start his vacation - not wonderful food but fun.. he also likes Whispering Canyon- the fish was good there..

I haven't been at Yak and Yeti or the new Tusker House .. but DH likes buffets so we may try that.. love Crystal Palace.. but then I love Pooh.

MGM we have been to Hollywood and Vine and 50s Prime Time and they were good or okay..

NC Beast joined Weight Watchers online yesterday too. He was looking at the points of some of his favorites and he was surprise at the counts. I had him use the measure cups to get a visual on how much is the true portion size of the light ice cream. I'm not officially on it (to keep costs down), but I hope to lose weight too. I'm trying to find a decent bathroom scale that would handle his weight, but also be large enough base for our big feet.

I hope that your mom was able to enjoy her day.

FIL was most likely worn out by his club meeting at his place on Saturday. Those guys can really talk and talk.

Danauk-- Some 1 TS that NC Beast had enjoyed in the past : Tutto Italia, Teppan Edo, Sci-Fi (great shakes), 50's Prime Time, Le Cellier, Les Chefs de France (last visit here was in '06), Liberty Tree Tavern (lunch menu), 1900 Park Faire, and Crystal Palace. We have in past years spent money out of pocket for 50's prime Time, Boma (breakfast), Beaches and Cream, and the Plaza Resteraunt (been ages since we ate here). We ate at Kona Cafe last year and it was just okay...not the best bang for the dollar value for TS lunch on the DDP. We did not care for San Angel Inn---we are spoiled by our local Mexican resteraunt spots. I hope that Sanaa will be great (suppose to open next month at AKV).

We did not do a 2 TS service last year, but we wished that we went to least 1 or 2 during our free dining. The August heat really diminishes our desire for heavy meals daily. We used a lot of snack credits on the smoothies from Main Street Bakery and Dole Whips.

edit: I forgot---we ate at Yak and Yeti...it was okay. I liked that it was A/C on an evening emh night. NC Beast liked his meal of ribs and mango pie. I had the steak and shrimp and for dessert...the fried wontons. I did not care for my dishes. The steak was greasy, they were not the best in dealing with my sensitivity to bell peppers, and I did not care for the wontons glazed---too sweet.

We also at Whispering Canyon, out of pocket for lunch, and the service on that day was super slow at 1 pm. The food was okay.

We used the DDP at Coral Reef in the past and enjoyed the meals.

Belle - glad that FIL enjoyed his time with friends and his b'day.. Isn't a serving of ice cream the container?? LOL:rotfl:

I feel the same about San Angel Inn - much better and cheaper at home and the same with the chinese restuarant too. we also didn't like Norway or Biergarten.. Japan one looks good but I couldn't get in last time..

Thanks for your recommendations everyone. Right now our preferred list seems to be Boma (I love it there!), Sanaa (I am interested to see when the American take is on Indian food), Crystal Palace (got to have 1 character meal!), Le Celier (always wanted to try there but have not got round to it so far), Mama Melrose (we ate here when we did the backstage magic tour and liked it), Coral Reef (new to us). Then California Grill for our anniversary (we always have a meal at the CG when we go to WDW or DLRP) and Yachtsmans Steakhouse (another favourite).

Sounds very YUMMY!! DH loved Coral Reef and he is not a fish eater, so apparently the steak is good.. so good that he wants to go back there i the summer..

We'll be doing Coral Reef for the first time in September. I'll also be going to Citrico's for the first time and dinner at Kona. I love doing 'first'. (I'm going to ride Mission Space too!....well, the mild version anyway)

We really enjoyed Citricos on our last visit, it was such a peaceful restaurant. As for Mission Space, we rode it just after it opened, I had my travel sickness bands on and still felt ill for the rest of the day. I might try the mild version this trip, the ride itself was good, but oh boy, the spinning!!!! This trip we get a free round of mini golf as part of our package, I'm trying to decide which course to play, I love mini golf (we call it crazy golf over here!) I think we might try Fantasia Gardens so we can have a stroll around the Boardwalk afterwards, then maybe an icecream at Beaches and Cream!!

We are finally starting to get warmer weather - high of 58 :sunny: Now this may seem cold to many, but it's better than what we've had. Plus, we will have some sunshine today, instead of grey w/ rain. By Friday, we'll have a high of 80 degrees :sunny: I can hardly wait!!!!!:woohoo:

ibounce - Good luck with WW:wizard:

scotlass - :wave2:

cheeringmom - Wow, you have alot going on at your house :faint: What a great experience for Tom. What will he be doing when he's in Russia?

Danauk - My favorite 1 pt place's are....
Kona Cafe for breakfast, The Concourse Steakhouse (oh yeah, it's not there anymore:sad1::guilty::sad1:), Chef Mickey's for the kids, CP for breakfast, LTT for dinner, The Garden Grill for dinner, 50's Prime Time for dinner, Whispering Canyon for breakfast or dinner, and that's all I can think of for now.
**I've always wanted to mini-golf at WDW, but never had the chance. Have fun with that!!!!:)

Belle - My mom did have a nice bday, thanks!!!:)

geffric - We are finally getting some decent weather :sunny:

Well, I gotta eat my grapefruit and make Steph's lunch.
Have a good day!!

I love Fantasia Golf.. there are two courses.. one that is like a regular mini golf and it great :thumbsup2 the other is more like a regular course and it very hard but lots of fun.. Eric is looking forward to them too.. He wants a kitchen sink at Beaches and Cream and then a full round of golf..

we were at AP weekend for opening of Mission Space.. they have really dumbed down the ride since then.. the regular version side is a fraction of what it was back then...

Morning.. went to Ben and Jerry's yesterday for a chocolate fudge brownies scoop and then a coconut 7 layer one.. Eric had 1/2 baked and then a double chocolate one.. his GF only had 1 scoop of half baked..

Dh didn't want to go.. and Geoff is still under the weather so he did not join us either...
