BlueBayou I'm so pleased Brindle seems to be doing well, I hope dhe stays that way. I would be giving here treats every time I pass too!!

This evening I went to the theatre to see the pantomime (I've explained them before, traditional British christmas shows) that Pete was the musical director for and the society that I used to perform with. I went back stage before the show and at the interval to see all my friends too. I realised how much I missed doing the shows and hopefully now that we won't be getting as many inspctions for a while I should be able to do shows again which I am looking forward to. I think my job has overtaken my life too much over the past 2 years and I need to do other things as well!!

We are out of bone treats. Lily did not fully close the cabinet door when we went out for 4 hours. Somebody pulled it open - drug out the treat bag and ripped it to pieces. Not a crumb left. Since Brindle was in the cage - we know she is innocent. That means our suspects are; Oreo the Shih Tzu and Benji the Yorkie/Silky.

****edited to add**** We have circumstantial evidence. It appears our wayward criminal is none other than Oreo the Shih Tzu - if the sudden puking on the sofa can be believed. Don't know if Benji got any - but she has a stronger tummy and wouldn't have puked it if she did. But it looks like Oreo got the bulk of the treats.

BlueBayou Nice, dog sick on the sofa to clean!! I can sympathise though as one of my cats was sick on the floor this morning. He seems to think he is a rabbit. He sees the bunnies eating grass in the garden and goes to join them. He forgets thats grass makes him vomint!!

Good morning all, does anyone have anything good planned for today? I'm doing school planning today so nothing exciting really. Tomorrow we are going out to Warwick Castle for the day with our best friends and then staying over at their house for New Years Eve. I am hoping we will have some more discussion about a future WDW trip with them!!

I cruised with Angie and Denis on the WBPC and we will all cruise together in 2010 on the WestBoundTrans-Atlantic. They are the SWEETEST couple! The met and Disneyland and have been married over 40 years. Really looking forward to it.

I do have something fun today...er, tonight. Peg and I are meeting some DIS/cruise friends for dinner at the deli. I cruised with Angie and Denis on the WBPC and we will all cruise together in 2010 on the WestBoundTrans-Atlantic. They are the SWEETEST couple! The met and Disneyland and have been married over 40 years. Really looking forward to it.

That sounds fun. Will you be staying in England at all to do any sight seeing once you have done the cruise? In cruises into Dover doesn't it?

Nope, the trans-Atlantic cruises go to/from Barcelona. The Baltic ones go in and out of Dover. I actually still have a reservation on the first Baltic, but we will be cancelling that. My friend will still do a Baltic on another line, and I will pass for a spring cruise, as I'll be needing the $$ for the September one. Also, already have plans for that $600 deposit...I'll be using it at WDW THIS September!

I'll be spending a WHOLE WEEK at WDW before my Tortola cruise. I haven't had that long at WDW for some time. Most of my other visits have been a few days around a cruise. Some of my cruise-mates have DVC and offered to get a 2 bedroom so my friend Cheri and I could stay and play with them. Don't know which resort yet, they will be booking in February. We'll be doing the dining plan also as we are all 'foodies'. So I'm sure the e-mails will be flying back and forth for a few months discussing where to eat.

HEY...did you all know that ADRs are back to 90 days advance booking...no longer 180 days. At some point, when the new system is up and working, we may also be able to book them on line...cool, eh?

The soup recipe---I used the search on Food Network's website and used part of Paula Deen's and part of Tyler Florence's (they have a couple of variations) plus a change in seasonings. I adjusted the amounts to work with what I had in the kitchen.

NC Beast had luck on the regular voice mails in the past. They like to see creative ideas and unusual questions.

If you do a voicemail -- make sure any background music is low volume and not going to be copyright/music issues. You may want to write down your question in advance.

Yeah, I've sent in a few reviews and a couple of show topics. I know they've got to be swamped with e-mails so as soon as I come up with a really unique question or review I'll try the voice mail.

I just know unless I win a trip...we won't be going back to the World for a VERY long time!

Hi everyone - I hope all is well with everyone. Things seemed to have calmed down a bit around here. Which is very much needed.

Our bathroom remodel is behind schedule but progressing. The shower is tiled in the master, the toilet is in place, the medicine cabinet is up, the new light fixture is in and the walls are painted. The vanity and sink are in - but not tiled and those fixtures are not in yet.

I really like the way it is looking - but it is so hard to get a good picture of it.

So I will attempt to post a picture of Brindle instead - so you can see the pup I have been so worried about.

As you can see, she is 100% pound puppy mutt. Very lovable.

Okay - since I finally got the hang of posting pictures - here's a look our remodel so far. It looks MUCH better than our 1962 mint green tile.

Here is a look at the old tile in the back of a truck. Notice the rotted footer which had to be replaced.

This is the shower in our master bathroom. It is a very small shower in a very small bathroom. Our contractor enlarged the doorway to the shower by about 6 inches. We do not like fixtures the contractor has used - but we have been unable to locate any we like better. We are looking for brushed nickel with separate hot and cold shower knobs. Most are the single knob. At some point we will probably replace the knobs with something we locate at a specialty shop.

This is the vanity with the rectangular sink. The tile is not in yet. We have gone with Linen/biscuit color for the toilet and sink. So they are white - but not snow white.

We always have our family and a couple of friends over to ring in the new year We also celebrate Kevin's birthday tonight, so this is when he gets his cake and also his bday presents It's always a fun night!!!!


Does anyone besides me have to work today?
I could of had today off, but I chose to not work Friday instead So now I have a 4 day weekend


Is anyone watching the new tv show Leverage on TNT?
Kevin and I are really hooked on it - if you haven't watched it, give it a try


I've been keeping busy lately.
Sunday my in-laws kept the girls overnight, so we could celebrate Kevin's birthday It was nice to go out to dinner w/o having to take Katie to the bathroom everyone 20 minutes Then the next day Kevin and I went to the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago, and then after that we walked around the city and went out for deep dish pizza - it was a great day!!!!!

Eric got a new footpedal thing for his base and some thing to fix the snare.. so he is ready to record the CD. they are only doing 2 songs and then 1 week from friday they will record the rest.. so they will have a CD for the battle of the band at school and when they play at the end of January at another place..

Geoff had the venture crew here last night ( because he will be 18 and he can't be a boy scout in the troop so he joined a venture crew where he can be a swcout until he is 21) and that was ok. although according to him I was in the room too much.. hmmmm..
