Hey everyone!
I'm a long time lurker on this board, but a first time poster. I'm Nikki! My partner and I are going to have our ceremony a year from now and we're planning an escape wedding. Does anyone know if Sunset Pointe at the Poly holds 10 for real or they just say that and then you pay extra for more people? Contacting the planning team will be the next step, but we were just wondering.
Thanks everyone! :]

I *think* they only ALLOW you to use that location if you have 10 or under. I think it may hold more, but I do not think they allow you to use it with more. I am not sure why they restrict it, there must be some logistical issues. They will have you choose another site.

Anyone know for sure?

The do only allow 10 at this site and I hear they are rather strict about it. The site appears like it could hold way more in my opinion but the only thing I can think of is that the ground is quite sloped (especially on the left side)and it may not be easy to set up chairs. I was told by a staff member at the WP that they also don't like this site because it's windy. If you check out my PJ I have tons of pics. In the end we decided we LOVE this site and will adjust our guest list as needed! Good luck!

Also, they only do ceremonies there between October and March (I think those are the months anyway.....)

Yes, they will only allow 10 people at the site, that is including the bride and groom. So, your guest list is actually 8 people. And yes, it is very windy at that spot. We were married there last January. It was fabulously beautiful, but it was about 40 degrees with 20-25 mph winds the whole time. We were frozen by the time the weddings was over. We did a quick cake cutting, some pictures and then got inside where it was warm.

I should also mention that currently you can't book Sunset Pointe until 8 months out because the back-up location is under construction so the current back-up location is the Wedding Pavillion. I don't know how long this will be in effect though... does anyone have more info to add to this?

Thanks everyone! You've been helpful :]

For the whole of 2009 I was told.
