Is it worth it?
We are a family of 2 adults and 3 children aged 12, 8 and 5. Our flight is at 10.25am. Holiday Extras has quoted me £72.50 minus 15% cashback.

I was wondering whether it would be cheaper to have breakfast in the terminal somewhere.:confused3 I wouldn't have breakfast at the Premier Inn because it would be way too early as I'm guessing we would have to check-in at the airport for about 6.30am. I was thinking we could eat at about 8am. Really not sure whether this lounge would be a waste of money as it doesn't look too child-friendly. The last time I was at an airport I remember paying about £4 for a bottle of water and I don't want to get stung like that again.:rotfl:

Sorry for the waffle...

We did the Escape Lounge back in 2010 and really enjoyed it. Its not very big but you can eat and drink as much as you want(cereal, pastries, tea, coffee etc). Comfy seats, relaxing atmosphere, newspapers tv, its all you need to start your holiday in style. The only negative is there is not much for the younger ones to do.You will also get a call when your plane is ready to board. If you booked through Virgin you now have the choice of using the V Room.

I'm definitely tempted as we are going on the first Monday of half-term and I'm worried it will be hectic. We have Virgin flights but we didn't book the holiday with Virgin, so I think that excludes us from the V Room.

I'm looking at Esacape too! Reckoning like you terminals will be busy as most of OCtober seems to be Half term - we fly out 23rd!

At minute my prices are £70 less 12.12% cashback = £61.52 - seem slike an OK price for 4 adults 1 child?!

15% cashback on Quidco through HolidayExtras.

I'm not sure, having read another thread. If I check-in online, we wouldn't have to be there until about 8.30, which means we could have a super-cheapy breakfast at Premier Inn and then wander around Duty Free. Not sure what to do now.:confused3

There is a frankie and bennys. Plus a burger king and a place that does breakfast like you'd get at a motorway service station.

Boots sell water at reasonable price.

TBH we find the time flies by. Check in, security, pop to Boots for water and sarnies for the plane, trip to the toilets or two and a look around duty free. Get some breakfast. Then to the gate.

Sounds like a plan.:thumbsup2

We really enjoy the Escape Lounge and have also used the Servisair one too.

We just find that after an early start it is a nice place to chill out and relax until the flight but we don't really spend too much time in duty free etc so we normally have a few hours to kill......

Our LO's grab a table and play with toys/ds's etc, it just feels like a nice relaxing start to the holiday for us :)

Thanks for the heads up on this but as I rearely use Quidco, then by time they've deducted the £5 annual charge I'm better off sticking with Topcashback!

Think we'll still be doing this as the last time we went to Florida and we did Escape it was a lovely start to the holiday (and the right thing to do as the gates were manic....and this was in June!!)
