Escape from Gringotts - Single Rider?

Yeah, I will be at Universal Studios July 29th; I too am curious what the lines may be and more specifically if me and my friend go straight to Gringotts or wait till afternoon to go in line?

Your best bet would be to ask closer to your trip. With today posting 7 hour waits, it's going to be a while until it drops under at least two hours IMHO. It's also being very glitchy so that will come into play too as they continue to work things out!

I was at softs three times this past week--Gringotts is all that's left for me to do. I'm going to try next week (the perks of being a local!) but no way am I waiting over two hours!!

It's mostly flat, except for the first drop down. Not bad at all, tamer than Mummy.

Annual Pass holder here and stood in line a little before 6pm till 10pm when they closed the ride saying it was broken down. Gave us fast pass type tickets so we can stand in another line tomorrow. They were giving non-AP holders extra day tickets which means that us with AP's get no other compensation.

Sounds very fair. It's always a huge risk when you wait in line that the ride might go down.

I'm so glad there's a single rider line, though I hope when I'm there on September 30th I won't need it. I really don't want to miss the pre-show, elevator parts.

Can you wear 3 prong waist packs on this ride? I figured they would be ok same as the other rides. But I just want to make sure. I want to avoid the lockers this year so I'm traveling light.

I know it is VERY frustrating for you. I would be. Yet as said it has to be expected that there can be problems when a ride first opens.
a FP is like gold dust to be honest.
I am actually glad they gave an extra day to other people that were not AP. They only had maybe a day ticket so it was wasted waited in line for hours when it broke. At least with AP they not tied to one day at high cost.
Maybe they could have given you a drinks voucher or something etc but who knows. with this kind of thing cannot please everyone.

On and off single rider today in less than an hour!!

Weird story though......the team member at first told me singles was closed. She said, "It's only a three and a half hour wait so it would be longer to wait in the single queue. Plus you wouldn't ride with your party." I told her I was alone and she just kind of shrugged her shoulders. No, I did NOT understand her answer at all!! It would be longer to wait in a supposedly closed queue? What??

My gut told me to hang out for a few. A few area leaders did announce that singles was closed, yet a few minutes later I see her letting guests into the singles entrance. So of course I went over and got the same, "it's only a three and a half hour wait." I asked her why others were getting in. She asks, "How many in your group?" "Just me, same as a few minutes ago." "Oh, okay, go in!" I think she may have been into the Dragonscale Ale........

The ride was great, but in my book Forbidden Journey is still the best ride down here. The audio was off in two scenes, I'm sure if I'd made an issue I could've gotten a re-ride but I'm a local, I'll be back a few more times in the next few weeks! It was a fantastic experience and I'm looking forward to going through the regular queue eventually to see everything!

We rode the single rider twice today. We went for early entry, walked right on, and were the first set of riders for the day (since the normal line guests were still making their way through the que). We went right back in the line and rode again. The second time it took about 45 minutes since they started having technical issues. Still, we rode twice by 8:00 am! I would recommend doing the ride once through the regular line, as you miss the bank, goblins, and elevator in the single rider.

I'm strategically going to Orlando Monday August 18th,the day classes start up in most of Florida.On my last trip I missed the opening of all the new attractions at the parks.I'll be doing Diagon Alley(Gringott's and Hogwarts Express),Seven Dwarves mine train and either Falcon's Fury at Busch Gardens if it finally opens and/or Ihu's Breakaway Falls,the new slide at Aquatica.I want to get at least 2 rides on Gringott's,regular standby and singles,how much do you think I'll be waiting on the first day of school?

Well, I imagine you'll still face some crowds as even though Florida may start August 18th, many school districts across the nation don't begin until after Labor Day.

agree..We went to Universal that time last year, and though it was manageable, it was alot more crowded than we ( and the crowd calendars) projected
