Today was our first day to not do EMH. It was the only day I was able to get PS for Cindy's- it must not be as sought after on non-EMH days. I got an early PS so that we could eat and be done by the time the park opened. We had to wait a few minutes for a bus to TTC since it was about a little over an hour before park opening- our PS was at 8:10. We made it on time and had to wait a few minutes past 8:00 for them to let us in. No problems at all.
I know Cindy's is usually either a "love it or hate it" place, but we fall in the middle. DD ate zip of the food and said that it was okay if we don't go back. DH agreed. This was DD's third time to be there and I think that now that she is a little older- BOO HOO!!- that it just doesn't seem as magical. We decided no more getting up at the crack of dawn for several days in a row to come back if DD doesn't care one way or the other and DS (being a boy) probably won't care either. We just really prefer CP and Chef Mickey's and will probably eat there a couple of times next trip and skip Cindy's. I know the characters and the setting are the big draw, but the food and service are just okay- PLEASE DON'T FLAME ME- it just means y'all will have one less family to compete with for Cindy's PS. ;) We'll go back one day, I know, but just not next trip.
After Cindy's we, of course, hit all of the Fantasyland attractions and did some shopping in Sir Mickey's. We had not been to Tom Sawyer island since pre-kid days. Tom Sawyer and The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn were two of my favorite books when I was in grade school, so I thought DD would be old enough to enjoy going to the island. I had bought "Tom and Huck" on DVD to watch on our road trip. We had to wait for the first fairy ride of the day. They told us about the contest to find the paint brushes so DD kept her eyes open. We enjoyed looking around and found a paintbrush (actually saw two, but left the second one for another child to find) outside Harper's Mill. There were a lot of great photo opportunities and we got some really cute ones. In return for finding the paint brush, the CM gave her a Magical Moments Certificate and a pass for four (since there are four of us in our family) to any attraction in Frontierland (or maybe it was to either Splash Mountain or BTMRR- can't remember). DD and DH used them for Splash and BTMRR. Nicholas dozed in his stroller while I did some shopping at the Briar Patch. One of the really cute things I bought was Brer Rabbit as a surprise for DD.
After that we headed to Toontown for Mickey's and Minnie's houses as we had not been there this trip yet. We got lots of good pictures here, too. We went to Fantasyland for one last ride on Pooh, Peter Pan, the Carousel, and Snow White. Nicholas cried again when his ride on the carousel was over. We had one last ride on HM and POC and then we bought a few more things and then headed to Epcot.
We were all hungry by this point so we went straight to San Angel for a very late lunch. We did not have a PS but we did not have to wait long as it was an off time. The food was pretty good and we enjoyed the atmosphere. We had not spent much time in WS so we devoted this evening to going to each country's Kidcot station and getting pictures of the kids doing something in each country and trying to soak up the atmosphere. We started with Mexico and continued clockwise to each country. We got to Germany and realized that DD had lost her passport. I retraced her steps and a nice CM in China looked all around and found it- he called me back as I was walking away to give it to me. We decided we would go back to Germany tomorrow to get her passport stamped and signed. DD decided she wanted popcorn from America for a snack and DH wanted to finally get a turkey leg (had never had one at WDW). I got DS and me each a chocolate chip cookie and milk in America. I really kind of wanted chocolate crepes from France, but the line was kind of long. We walked all the way around to UK and I sat down on a bench and started feeding DS his cookie. DH commented that he wished he had gotten a cookie instead of his turkey leg. I told him that I wished I had gotten crepes instead of a cookie, so he told me that he would get me some crepes if he could have my cookie. Deal! He left and was gone for quite awhile since the line for crepes had gotten even longer so DD took pictures and window shopped while we waited. It was getting late by this point, so we hurried through the rest of the countries and bought a few things along the way. Oh yeah, I gave Brer Rabbit to DD when she begged for something at the African trading-post-thing in WS.
We made it back to WL and started doing a little packing since we had to leave the next morning. Our last night at WDW for at least another 10 or 11 months.

Coming up....
Our last day (for now, anyway) at Epcot and the disappearance of a friend.
