Hee...I know what you mean. When I found out it totally freaked me out whenever I'd walk in the ocean. "Oh my gosh, there's things under my feet! Ah! Ah! Ah!"
I'm over it now, since that was ages ago...but when I was living in Hawaii a couple of years ago the coral scared the heck out of me and I made it my mission to not allow my feet to touch the ground. Hehe.
There is a place in Typhoon Lagoon at Walt Disney World that you can swim with sharks and other fish. You do not get to stay in the water for long as they like you to continue moving across the pool.

At typhoon Lagoon, It's the same pool with the submarine and you get the chance to swim across but there is animals and small sharks in the water at Typhoon Lagoon! It's very very fun!! I dont know if this has changed since i was there in 2004.
It hasn't changed...and I went there last year it was fun although I got to see the pool thing but i didn't go into it bc I got sick in line for the pool
