Why does this need to be a separate area? No matter what your sexual preference everyone loves the mouse.

Us GLBT folks have a lot of different issues to deal with in life than others. While these forums are for Disney enthusiasts, not all of the sections of the forums are meant to be about only Disney discussion.

These are basically an off-topic forum for GLBT folks to gather. It allows us a place to discuss issues to our community without causing debate or being attacked (and that happens a lot on other sections of these boards, just do a search for Gaydays threads).

These sub-forums exist for the same reason that DVC, campers, and people with disabilities have their own sub-forums.

Uh are you new to the Dis? Anytime there's a gay related thread posted anywhere else on the board it gets turned into a huge flame war. How many "Gay Days" threads have been closed down over the years?

I didn't realize that people on this board are so close minded. I am sorry as I did not mean to hurt or insult anyone here. I guess even on a disney board there is still ignorance and hate, how sad.

I have been a member here for probably 7 or 8 years but never got involved with posting in the different areas as I used it for renting out my points. There is now a new rule that we must add 50 comments to non rental areas before we can put up an ad so get used to dummies like me posting

The ugliness is not just here on the Dis. i left another wdw forum because of the uproar over WDW doing same sex cermonies. Thankfully I found this site/section and have been here ever since

I think it's nice having our own little slice of the DIS. As has been said, many of our discussions are more off topic and not Disney related. It's the same reason there are the Podcast, Resorts, Restaurants, ABD, DCL, DVC, etc sections. It gives people with similar interests a place to hang out and converse.

You're more than welcome to post over here! We have quite the collection of "CSP"'s! (Cool Straight People).

But yeah, even people who go to Disney can be closed-minded.
