Epic Mickey!

And one of the first puzzles to solve involves figuring out what time the 3PM afternoon parade starts.... :goodvibes

I'm so excited for this game I'm even planning on trawling through my packed away boxes for the Wii and my TV. ;)

I kind of like the lost characters. It gets them a new life.

It was good to see Oswald. Does the normal population (not Disney freak/geeks know about Oswald?

Who are the other lost characters? Would I know them?

Well, anyone knows... the 3:00 parade begins at 3:00!

I just read that the game has Walt's apartment at Disneyland in it! That is just too cool, the thought and attention to Disney detail and history is just amazing. I think Warren Spector is going to have a huge hit on his hands.

Okay, this is cool!
But a year ago I bought all but the Epic things for $199. So, I am afraid I am not the customer for this cool package.

They done a great job with it! There is one scene later on in the game where Mickey is holding Daisy Ducks head and its talking to him, a pirate cut it off Daisys body and its up to Mickey to find the other parts to put her back together.

I'll give them credit they finally made a game where Mickey compliments the game rather than using Mickey alone to sell it. It's been great to see how they animated Oswald as well...

OK.

I gotta admit that part is a little creepy.

Mickey can command her to peer around corners by holding her head out in front of him.

This maneuver is called the first order of the peaking duck.

Are you serious? That's gross! I was thinking of buying this for my friends' kids for Christmas, but if you're serious, I may have to re-think that!

Yeah, I have the same thoughts. It looks "too adult" for me.
Blood, guts, gore, chopped of heads - not my thing.
Then again, I slightly uneasy riding Pirates of the Carribbean!

I'm going to wait and see what the reviews are saying after it comes out. While it does sound sort of gruesome...have you seen some of the games kids play? And I highly doubt it is a bloody beheading of Daisy. Disney would be foolish to make this a bloody and or violent game. I do think it might be a bit more adult and not something you would want to buy for younger kids, but I'm thinking it will be fine for 10 and up as I'm thinking Disney's plan was to be appealing to a dual market of older kids and adults.

I think your spot on with what your saying in regard to trying to appeal to a dual market, It's a hard balance to try and obtain since if you make it too fluffy and nice teens wont touch it yet you cant go too far with it either and push away the family market either.

I've played the game and it is very dark for Disney standards and I'm not saying there is anything wrong with that its just not what we are familiar with when it comes to Disney.

There is no blood, no gore but there is what I would call mild violence, compared to what kids are playing these days it doesn't even come close to some of the things.

If your the kind of person who wouldn't let their child watch the old style cartoons from the 50's and 60's that have become controversial due to their violence then this game is not really what you would want them playing either.

I pre-ordered it for DH. Will I let my small kids watch that? Umm some parts but not the whole thing. Same thing went for Kingdom Hearts which DH still pulls out every now and then.
