I need to ask u for some pointers/tips? I have a interview next week and hospitality is one of my top role choices. Do u remember what questions they asked u pertaining to that role? I'm just trying to get a heads up for the questions they're going to ask. I really want that role, but I don't have any experience. My major is hospitality in school right now, and I really want the experience from disney to do this role so it can help me out in the future. I want to gain a lot of experience and knowledge from this internship. All I ever wanted to do since I was a kid, was to work at disney and work in the resorts/hotel. I know u said u worked in hospitality so I figured u could tell me how I can get through this interview and ace it. Can u please help me?????????:goodvibes

I was offered a role in Concierge for the Fall. If you PM me, I can go over the list of questions they asked me. I only listed Concierge, Hospitality and Vacation Planner on my checklist if it helps.

Secondly, I am majoring in Hospitality but have never worked in a hotel. I have experience in another realm of Hospitality, but I would stay you still have a chance!

PM me! :)

thanks kmg

But it won't let me pm anyone because I don't have at least 10 posts. I only have 2 posts so far. Can u tell me the questions/tips on here instead? :)

Sure thing, I forgot about that rule.

I was asked related Concierge/Hospitality questions.

She asked what I thought the duties of Hospitality were, then the differences between Hospitality and Concierge. Honestly, that's really only the Hosptality specific questions that were asked.

I was asked if I had ever cash handled and could learn computer systems. Since I did the CP before, she would have me talk about my prior experiences.

Even though it isn't Hospitality directly, I was asked how I would handle a problem yet still make a guest feel special. I also tried to answer questions on a few levels. For example, I did research and found a bunch of questions, some I had thought of good answers to. I worked those answers in for other things, but keeping in mind the length if that makes sense.

I was not asked about Hospitality experience. It's my major (I'm a senior) and since I work for Disney and another theme park, she just mentioned she knew I had related experience. I'm sure if I didn't have those things that would have been a question.

I did do a thorough search of these boards and found the following questions:

- What if you had to give bad news to a guest? What if a room wasn't available?
- What experience do you have in Hospitality?
- If a guest comes back from the park and tells you they waited for two hours for a ride and then it was closed, what would you say to them?
- Talk about a time with a difficult guest.
- Explain a good or bad time you handled customer service.
- Say you were working on something, and a coworker asked for help. The phone rings. What do you do?
- You are checking a guest in and the phone rings. What do you do?

Hope that helps!

Wow, thats a lot of info. Thanks again kmg. I'm going to start practicing for my interview this weekend. :)

Your welcome! I know how hard/frustrating it can be trying to sort through the threads to find information pertaining to what role you want, so I am compiling huge lists. :)
