I am going to the FAWF for the first time this yr. Am spending the night on Oct 29th at CRB for my bday and thought I would check out the food and wine festival. Someone told me they have samples of different foods for a few dollars?? Is this correct? Does anyone know typically what types of food they have ? I' m not intersted in the 'wine" partion but i am extremely interested in the 'Food ' portion being the 'foodie ' that I am. Any insight into what goes on during this festival and the set up would be appreciated. Also how about the crowd level?

I know that this site (the main part) and some of the others have info about the festival. It is really fun and there is a wide variety of foods available in each country (there are also small booths set up for other countries) Also they have concets called Eat to the Beat with 3 shows nightly in the America pavilion. with some good music! We are going to be there when the Beach Boys are there (or whoever is actually left) we saw them last year and really enjoyed it.

As far as crowds it seems it gets busier every year. Sometimes the food lines are ridiculous. I notice it also seems they add on some more days each year to extend to hopefully help with the crowds I assume

Thanks Bailey for that link. We'll be there the last week of October, and wondered what the booths would be offering. I hadn't seen this before. I wish they had more of the "special" meals with a non drinker price:(
