I know I'm still more than a year away but how do you think I get through our brutal Canadian winters? ;) Planning and dreaming!:p

I was just wondering what your favorite sit down Epcot restaurant is with kids? We did the Rose & Crown on our last visit. It was excellent but we want to try something new. Since we are Canadian, Canada is out. We would prefer not to do a buffet because we will be doing a couple of Character meals but we haven't completely discounted them.

Any and all opinions are welcome.

Thanks
Sandy

we like Teppanyaki, Chefs de France and Alfredo's with our kids.

All offer great items for kids.

Our kids love Teb(the Japan steakhouse!).. They also like the Coral Reef but it is harder on the pocket book. We are looking to spice up our PS also so I can't wait for more info.

Another vote for Teppanyaki. The food is very good (I love the beef tenderloin - yum!) Kids like the "show" that the chef puts on preparing dinner right in front of you and they think it's a hoot to eat with chopsticks. I, however would starve if I didn't have my fork. Haven't mastered the chopsticks quite yet :D

My 8 yo DD's favorite is San Angel Inn! She loves the atmosphere of eating under the stars even when it is brightest day outside, she loves the volcano in the background, and the boats going by as we eat. Her favorite kids meal is the cheese quesidilla. We usually go for lunch, as it is good respite from the heat and crowds, and it is a bit less expensive.

Our fav. sit down meal with our kids on our trip was SAI for lunch. We had a wonderful table on the river, good food, a friendly and helpful waiter, it was all good!

I'm going to put in another vote for Teppanyaki, my mom still raves about this place, and it's my nephew's favorite memory from his trip.

My dd really enjoys the Garden Grille (Land Pavilion) and asked if we could go there next trip - whenever that is.

I'd agree with the suggestions for Teppanyaki and San Angel Inn. Or maybe the Biergarten if they would like the oompah band and festivities? The kids meal is only $8, seems less than most.

Well, my kids are older, but over the years we have tried many restaurants in Epcot. One of their favorites is Teppanyaki in Japan, and a new favorite is the Garden Grill in the Land Pavillion. The restaurant rotates, there are characters to amuse, and the food is served family style (great variety, and plentiful). :teeth:

We really liike Marrakech, the sit down in Morrocco. The live musicians have always been good, and there is a terrific belly dancer who encourages children (and some adults) to dance with her. The food is also good - different without being hot or overly spicy. They also have a children's menu if your child isn't currently adventurous. It has not ever been crowded - we walk in without PS's (we go in the off season.)

Our favorites are: lunch at Teppanyaki, dinner at Marrakesh in Morocco (great steak kabobs!) plus kids got to see both Jasmine and Aladdin just outside the restaurant entrance, and Garden Grille.

Thanks so much for the replies!

I think we are leaning towards San Angel Inn or Teppenyaki. Any thoughts on Alfredos? I always figure we can't go wrong with Italian....

Keep the opinions coming!:D

Another vote for San Angel Inn from my 2yo DD! She loved sitting by the water and watching the boats go by and loved talking about the "mountain" in the background. She ate a bunch of the food too, but she loves mexican and eats qutie frequently at home.

We have tried many Epcot restaurants with my picky DD, now 11. She was not fond of Askershus choices, or the wait for food at Chefs de France. She loved the aquarium at Coral Reef, the dancing at Biergarten (though not the food), and she liked the food at Teppanyaki. We had a boring chef, though. She did not care much for Marrakesh, in spite of the belly dancer, and she can take or leave Rose & Crown. Her favorite was probably Alfredo's which she rates "the best pasta Alfredo ever". We did not enjoy it as much, however. Garden Grille was good, though not outstanding. I guess our only "musts" in Epcot are the snacks! Diana

DD (6) loves San Angel Inn and Teppanyaki for the atmosphere. Be forewarned that the chicken on the kid's meal is not breaded, fried chicken nuggets, but is grilled chicken.

My son loved Chefs de France when he was 4. He still says it was the hamburgler he has ever had. I think he would like san Angel next time he just started liking tacos & salsa type stuff.
